Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Prepare work plans, project schedules and other relevant activities carried out to construct climate resilient’ infrastructures
∎ Supervise the implementation and monitor all construction-related activities in line with approved design, drawings and document variations and adjustments wherever required due to site conditions and approve variation orders.
∎ Assist Project Engineer in developing assessment methodologies, prioritization tools to identify the most vulnerable infrastructures/facilities which needs repair, retrofit or reconstruction, and improvement of service facilities, boundary/guide/protection/slope maintenance walls
∎ Develop Civil engineering plan and Structural drawings, plumbing and sanitary details, and working drawings of each.
∎ Identify and assess potential risks and hazards impacting communities, projects, or operations, focusing on environmental, social, and operational vulnerabilities.
∎ Supervise flood mitigation measures activities to ensure effective implementation, and coordinate with WASH actors to align efforts, optimize resource use, and enhance the efficiency and impact of interventions.
∎ Ensure that all design, planning and site activities comply with appropriate local, national and international standards and regulations as required.
∎ Coordinate with SMS, CiC/ACiC etc, MIS/MEAL/Data for identification, site selection, and data collection.
∎ Support and Coordinate with financial service provider for Cash Distribution.
∎ Coordinate response to any hazard in the camp in collaboration with the Site Management Support (SMS) and Camp-in-Charge (CiC).
∎ Conduct field test of construction materials for quality construction work.
∎ Host any kind of internal or external visit.
∎ Verify payments (Cash Distribution/Billing etc.) for the work done after ensuring compliance with standards, specification, and test reports.
∎ Monitoring and reporting of the progress and identifying issues timely and work towards the solution of those issues.
∎ Ensure environmental disposal of the excavated, dismantled or construction wastes.
∎ Ensuring safety of the construction labour’s/workers through following safety practices.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the team lead/TS
∎ Generate case study of successful implementation.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the Programme; s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working Environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every Course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident Takes place and encourage others to do so.
