• Masters

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Banking and Finance, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field from a UGC-approved university.

• Certification in Market Research, Data Analytics, Big Data, Database Management, or Statistical Modelling preferred.

• Equity Research certification/accreditation will be an added advantage.

• At least 6 years

• Minimum 6 years of work experience in banking research, marketing research, or business analytics.

• Experience in equity research will be considered a strong plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.

• Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, Stata, R, Python), data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau), and database management software (Oracle, SQL, MySQL).

• Strong ability to prepare professional presentation decks.

• Familiarity with banking products & services development, customer analytics, and financial modeling.

Job Context

Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with strong research and analytics skills to join its Group Research & Development (GR&D) Department. The role requires expertise in banking and marketing research, with exposure to equity research considered an added advantage. The ideal candidate will contribute to building advanced business analytics platforms, supporting data-driven decision-making, and providing insights for strategic management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a business analytics platform capable of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to support strategic decision-making across R&D and SBUs.

• Collect, organize, and manage large sets of quantitative and qualitative data from multiple online and offline sources.

• Create, administer, and maintain secure databases for organizational use.

• Disseminate complex datasets and reports within and outside the department as required.

• Conduct statistical analysis using both historical datasets and primary survey-based data.

• Build and maintain a dynamic reporting infrastructure to support management decisions.

• Provide analytical insights for cross-selling opportunities, customer portfolio optimization, credit risk and delinquency control, and cost reduction.

• Support management in business financing and risk forecasting.

• Contribute to intellectual publications of the Bank.

• Carry out other research studies aligned with the core objectives of the GR&D.
