• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Disaster Management, Public Health, Development Studies or relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in humanitarian or development sector
• Experience working in Rohingya refugee response / Cox’s Bazar context preferred
Required Skills & Competencies:
• Proven experience in managing projects in humanitarian sector
• Strong reporting and documentation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and KOBO/data collection tools
• Excellent communication skills (Bangla & English)
• Strong leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and in emergency contexts

Job Purpose:
The Senior Program Officer will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring humanitarian and seasonal projects in Cox’s Bazar, including Health, Qurbani, Ramadan and emergency relief Programs. This role requires strong expertise in reporting and field management, ensuring quality programming is aligned with donor and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Implementation & Management
Manage implementation humanitarian and seasonal Projects ensuring timely and quality delivery.
Develop detailed implementation plans and track progress
Maintain proper project documentation for audit, donor review and compliance purposes.
Conduct regular field monitoring visits to ensure quality implementation.
Prepare project completion reports, MEAL reports, donor reports and internal reports with accurate data.
Maintain beneficiary databases, distribution records and ensure data accuracy using tools like KOBO.
Develop implementation plans, budgets and distribution plans for projects.
Coordinate with government bodies, UN agencies, INGOs, and local partners.
Participate in sector/cluster meetings and represent the organization when required.
Support procurement planning and budget tracking for project activities.
Coordinate with finance and logistics teams to ensure efficient resource utilization.
Ensure compliance with Sphere Standards, CHS, PSEA, and safeguarding policies.
Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards during distributions and field activities.
Supervise field staff and volunteers to ensure smooth project implementation.
Provide training and technical guidance to team members.
Support rapid needs assessments and emergency response activities (cyclone, flood, fire, etc.).
