A New York–based apparel company with a strong multinational presence is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Merchandiser to join our sourcing and production team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience managing apparel development and production for international markets.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end merchandising activities from product development through bulk production

Strong knowledge of textiles – Woven & Knits (working knowledge of sweater manufacturing is a strong plus)

Prepare and manage garment costing, price analysis, and negotiations

Create and monitor TNA (Time & Action calendars) and WIP (Work In Progress) reports

Oversee the complete sampling process (proto, fit, PP, TOP samples)

Coordinate closely with factories, vendors, and internal teams to ensure on-time and accurate execution

Track production timelines, resolve issues proactively, and maintain quality standards

Communicate effectively with international stakeholders, including the New York office

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in apparel merchandising

Strong technical understanding of woven and knit garment manufacturing

Sweater manufacturing experience preferred

Proven expertise in costing, TNA, WIP, and sampling

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-up skills

Ability to work independently, manage multiple programs, and meet tight deadlines

Working Hours & Structure

Working hours: 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM (local time)

Daytime hours to be worked from the local office

Evening hours may be worked remotely from home

Role requires regular coordination with the New York–based team
