Experience:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, Fashion Technology, Business Administration or relevant discipline.
• Educational qualification may be relaxed for candidates with strong relevant experience and proven competency.

Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in Garments Merchandising.
• Experience in an export-oriented Knit Garments Factory will be preferred.
• Candidates with proven experience in international buyer handling will get preference.
• Experience in independently managing orders from development through shipment is highly desirable.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Knit Garments Manufacturing and Merchandising.
• Excellent knowledge of Fabric, Trims, Accessories, Garment Construction and Production Process.
• Sound knowledge of Costing, Consumption, FOB, CM and Price Negotiation.
• Strong ability to prepare and maintain T&A Calendar.
• Good knowledge of Tech Pack, BOM, PO, Order Sheet and Buyer Requirements.
• Excellent buyer communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook/Email and ERP/software.
• Strong follow-up, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Good analytical and decision-making capability.
• Strong interpersonal and team-management skills.

Job Context

Innovative Knitex Ltd., an export-oriented knit garments manufacturing company, is looking for a competent, proactive and experienced Senior Merchandiser to strengthen our Merchandising Team.

The selected candidate will be responsible for independently handling assigned buyers/orders, product development, costing, order execution, production follow-up and shipment coordination while maintaining buyer requirements and company quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Independently handle assigned buyers and orders from product development to shipment.
• Communicate with buyers regarding order requirements, development, samples, approvals, production and shipment.
• Review buyer Tech Pack, Order Sheet, BOM, Measurement Chart and other technical documents.
• Prepare and follow up Time & Action (T&A) Calendar to ensure timely execution of orders.
• Coordinate sample development including Proto, Fit, Size Set, PP and Shipment Samples as required.
• Prepare garment costing, consumption, CM/FOB calculation and price quotation.
• Follow up fabric, trims, accessories and other raw materials to ensure timely availability.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, IE, Sourcing, Commercial and Warehouse departments.
• Monitor production status and take necessary action to resolve order-related issues.
• Ensure timely submission and approval of samples, lab dips, trims and other buyer requirements.
• Follow up bulk production, quality issues, inspection and shipment schedule.
• Coordinate with Commercial/Shipping teams for timely shipment and documentation.
• Maintain proper records of orders, buyer correspondence, approvals and shipment status.
• Identify potential risks in order execution and communicate them to management on time.
• Negotiate with suppliers and internal stakeholders where necessary to ensure smooth order execution.
• Prepare regular order status reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, company policies and applicable standards.
• Perform any other merchandising-related responsibilities assigned by management.
