Master in any discipline from any recognized university (Marketing/ Accounting/ Finance/ Management/ Supply Chain Management/ Engineering etc. will get preference)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing / NGO / Local Conglomerates / Financial Institutions in the field of procurement and Supply Chain Management.
Knowledge on procurement discipline as well as specialization in procurement and supply chain
Proven ability to negotiate with relevant stakeholders,
Ability to work with a diverse team and willingness to work under pressure,
Capacity to formulate issues, problems, and progress on work,
Capacity to manage multitasking.
Carry out sourcing, market analysis, and supplier appraisal, negotiating and selecting offers,
Formulation and concluding contracts and managing contracts should the basic competencies.
Leadership and managerial capacity are the key competency to lead and to manage the team.

Job Purpose
Plan, coordinate, supervise, and monitor as per BRAC Procurement Guidelines and Implementation Procedure (BPGIP) with a view to ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, value for money, and the speed up of the procurement process

Key Responsibilities
Lead the procurement of ICT products, construction materials, vehicle spare parts, transport & logistic materials.
Ensure standardization of existing procurement practice to generate economies of scale and deliver better value for money.
Assist in developing and implementing BRAC-wide purchasing strategy.
Ensure to evaluate the cost and quality of goods and services.
Lead the team for taking on challenges and enhancing and standardizing existing procurement practices.
Ensure to maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers as required.
Ensure Value tendering process for large strategic purchases as well as other purchases.
Coordinate to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Manage the procurement governance process, ensuring policy compliance.
Ensure maximum satisfaction of the stakeholders by providing the right products at the right time at the right place, at the right cost.
Observe/ monitor market trend and SWOT analysis for supplying good quality products through competitive bidding.
Ensure cost savings together with a range of additional benefits, including improved supplier performance, improved quality of service, and total cost of performance along with risk management.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
