Job Context:
∎ Department: Information Technology
∎ Job Summary: Identify IT solutions to cater to current and future requirements of the hospital. Manage and monitor application related work and mentor the team members.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Effectively manage all software applications, i.e. to coordinate maintenance and support for Hospital Information System, Intranet, HRMS, PACS, Digital Signage, Patient Portal, POS, all related interfaces, any future software applications etc...
∎ Ensure appropriate Vendor Management for the software applications.
∎ Implement and adopt the following up to the user/hospital's expectation:
∎ IP EMR rollout and training and implementation
∎ Web-based rollout - planning, training and implementation
∎ Implementation of Queue Management System in various areas of the hospital
∎ Dashboard adoption
∎ Initiate appropriate newer technologies/application in the IT ecosystem.
∎ Investigate, review and analyze business processes, the information used and the data on which the information is based.
∎ Competently develop solution options for process improvements using both automated and non-automated components.
∎ Facilitate the scoping of requirements and priority setting for application changes, engaging all required stakeholders.
∎ Obtain formal agreement by stakeholders and establish a base-line on which delivery of a solution can commence and variations can be managed.
∎ Assist to assess and obtain agreement upon the business application projects which will support the organization's objectives.
∎ Assist to assess and obtain agreement upon the criteria for software product selection and contribute to decisions about that product selection.
∎ Competently assist to identify and source the resources required to deliver application development and integration projects.
∎ Effectively manage all stages (planning, estimation, execution) of individual application development and integration projects to ensure technical, financial and quality targets are met
∎ Regularly monitor and report on the progress of application development and integration projects, using appropriate quality assurance processes to ensure that projects are carried out in accordance with agreed standards, methods and procedures.
∎ Contribute to the specification and design of business applications.
∎ Contribute to the improvement of application usability by ensuring the development of user tasks, interactions and interfaces that take into account the user experience.
∎ Coordinate and manage system and/or acceptance testing within individual application development projects.
∎ Take responsibility for the integrity of testing activities across the organization.
∎ Provide expert advice and guidance on test planning and execution.
∎ Identify and lead process improvements in testing, and contribute to the development of testing standards.
∎ Manage the provision of application maintenance and support services, either directly or via third party support agreements
∎ Plan for and manage business application enhancements related to workarounds for faults, modifications to configuration, manipulating data or small customizations, ensuring that all requests for change are prioritized and delivered to agreed targets.
∎ Effectively manage the installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring and maintenance of databases Supplier management.
∎ Assist to undertake analysis and research into suppliers, products and external services.
∎ Assist to develop tenders, select suppliers and place contracts.
∎ Assist to negotiate and implement external supplier service level agreements.
∎ Manage external supplier service level agreements, including acting as a routine contact point, collecting performance data and investigating concerns.
∎ Lead project teams and manage Consultants working on business process analysis and applications development initiatives.
∎ Develop staff skills for the identification and resolution of issues with applications.
∎ Regularly assess the resource needs of applications support and make recommendations to the Head of the Dept.
∎ Measure and produce regular reports on applications operational performance.
∎ Contribute to the development and maintenance of a culture within the IT Department, which emphasizes strong client service and ongoing development of efficient work practices.
∎ Provide leadership to staff by communicating corporate objectives and expectations, promoting a business facing culture with a team focus.
∎ Maintain clear work plans and manage timelines whilst remaining flexible and adaptable.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 years in which at least 3 years in a supervisory position.
