Experience:
Master’s Degree in Environmental Science and Management, Urban Planning/ Management, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Disaster Management or relevant area of study from any recognized university/ institutions.
At least 10 (ten) years’ work experiences with national/International NGOs/ organizations, including at least 05 (five) years on climate change adaptation and resilience building;
Clear understanding of project and partner management is required
Communication skill in both Bengali and English is mandatory
Advance skill in IT (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, internet, etc.) is required
Project/ program coordination skills is required
Skill in facilitation is preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proactive, highly motivated and able to use initiative to a significant degree
Ability to think creatively
Ability to carry out assigned tasks with minimum supervision
Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently

The Climate Bridge Fund is a trust fund established by BRAC in November 2019, with the support from the Government of Germany through KfW. JOB PURPOSE:
The job purpose is to coordinate and oversee climate change adaptation projects, manage partnerships, ensure compliance and safeguarding, and support project design and implementation. The role also focuses on capacity building, gender integration, social inclusion, and exploring fundraising opportunities to ensure sustainable project outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process all the reports (donor, event etc.) for submission to the Head of the Secretariat.
Launch call for concept note/ proposal and coordinate the evaluation process and prepare the reports.
Develop different climate change adaptation project or program related documents.
Act as a focal person for awarded projects.
Support CBF in smooth partner management.
Advise Implementing Partners on approaches to project design and implementation.
Be responsible for internal capacity building of team members and outreach to implementing partners.
Prepare yearly work plans and strategic documents as needed.
Develop and coordinate all publications.
Ensure the proper designing and start of implementation of the SOPs.
Coordinating, planning and organizing program activities (workshops, events, trainings).
Visit project locations periodically to monitor the progress.
Ensure CBF compliances are met in all manners and activities.
Review and provide inputs in the filled in checklist of each of the proposals/project to be followed during design and implementation of all proposed/agreed infrastructures.
Takes responsibility for ensuring gender integration and social inclusion in project implementation.
Explore fundraising opportunities to establish a long-term financial mechanism.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
