Job Context:
∎ IRC is seeking Senior IT Officer for its Bangladesh Country Program, based in Ukhiya with very frequent travel to program locations. Senior IT Officer will closely work with Senior IT Manager, Operations Coordinator and Regional IT Director to ensure the functionality of organizational IT Infrastructure, Service and Support.
∎ Under the supervision of the IT Manager, the Senior IT Officer will provide support look after User ends and ensure IT services, IT security to all staffs as per IRC standard and look after IRC IT systems
∎ Job Location: Ukhiya, Cox`s bazar
∎ Contract Length: 1 year (with possibility of extension)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Major Responsibilities:
∎ The IT Department supports the organization's work by providing reliable and scalable applications and infrastructure of the IRC's offices in the US and around the world, including many technologically challenging locations. An integral component of this effort is ensuring that Country Programs have the capacity to implement and support these IT initiatives effectively across the country offices and in the field sites.
∎ Work in collaboration with the Country Senior IT Manager to ensure the functionality of IT infrastructure in country program end users, computers are setup and configured with the Organization standard Operating system and applications versions (Organization image).
∎ Reporting to the Country Senior IT Manager, the Senior IT Officer will provide desktop support services to end users and oversee the office Network infrastructure configuration and management and Server system administration in the office under his purview. This also includes computers and end users applications installations, mobile devices configurations, installation and configuration of network printers and other computers peripherals and all aspects local domain & Active Directory management. A key aspect of this role is ensuring all technology implementations in-country conforms to the global IT policies and procedures hence working closely with Country IT Lead is vital.
∎ Ensure that computers peripherals such as scanners, printers, monitors and others are configured and properly working for all field staff members.
∎ Deploy Local Area network infrastructure following applicable Organization Standard regarding cabling, Wi-Fi and other active network equipment.
∎ Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
∎ To install & configure networking LAN, & Wireless knowledge Printer, switch & router.
∎ Must have sound knowledge in Windows based Servers and Country level Active Directory and domain services, including management of AD computers and users' accounts, DNS, DHCP, centralized computers updating and patching, Server management.
∎ Update appropriate network security and data loss prevention procedures to safeguard system from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized access and damage to data.
∎ Investigate local internet connectivity options to obtain adequate bandwidth for intranet and application connectivity & regular communication with ISP.
∎ Maintain up to date IT reports and documentation reflecting current computers assets status and network configurations, Domain, and End Point Management system.
∎ Require support and adaptability for HQ Integra System rollout.
∎ Work with field office IT staffs to ensure timely delivery of IT project activities and resolution of day-to-day IT issues in efficient manner.
∎ Ensure timely equipment maintenance, upgrade, and replacement as well as management of ISP contracts and software maintenance agreements.
∎ Assist with the development of the IT infrastructure including the installation of standard computer equipment and distribution of equipment within the Organization.
∎ Able to train staff in use of IT within own area of experience where required.
∎ Perform other duties as directed by the Country Senior IT Manager & Regional IT Lead.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years of work experience in humanitarian and/or development programs/industry in Information Technology and/or IT Enable Services experiences is required.
∎ Being adaptable with positive approach & able to work under pressure.
∎ Managing IT projects; planning, prioritizing IT related work.
∎ Understanding IT politics, Organization policy and culture.
∎ Understanding existing and new technologies.
∎ Must have proficient in English

Salary: Tk. 70200 (Monthly)
