• Minimum Bachelor's degree or higher4–8+ years of relevant experience in international education / student counselling / overseas admissions

• Strong knowledge of at least 2–3 major destinations

• Strong English communication skills

• Excellent counselling and interpersonal skills

• Strong understanding of university admissions

• Ability to analyze academic profiles

• Strong presentation and negotiation skills

• Experience handling students and parents

• Ability to work with CRM and lead-management systems
  Target-oriented but student-focused approach

Key Responsibilities

Student Career & Academic Counselling

Country Preferences

Australia + UK + Canada + USA + New Zealand + Malaysia + Europe

• Conduct detailed one-to-one counselling sessions with students and parents

• Analyze academic background, study gaps, work experience and career objectives

• Understand the student's preferred career and future employment direction

• Recommend suitable study levels, courses and academic pathways

• Identify realistic and aspirational university options

• Explain potential career outcomes associated with different study pathways

• Develop personalized study-abroad plans for students

Student & Parent Communication

• Conduct counselling through phone, Zoom/Google Meet, WhatsApp and face-to-face meetings where applicable

• Build trust with students and parents

• Explain complex admission information in simple language

• Handle objections and concerns professionally

• Provide realistic expectations regarding admission and study pathways

• Maintain regular follow-up with prospective students

Counselling + Conversion

This position will also have a strong consultative sales / conversion responsibility.

The counsellor will:

• Convert qualified enquiries into counselling sessions

• Convert counselling sessions into applications

• Follow up with undecided students

• Identify student concerns preventing enrolment

• Maintain a healthy counselling pipeline

• Achieve monthly application/enrolment targets

• Work closely with the Marketing & Sales team

• Maintain accurate CRM records

Important: The role is not aggressive sales. The expectation is ethical, student-focused consultative conversion.

Counselling Team Management

For the Counselling Manager level:

• Lead and supervise junior counsellors

• Conduct regular counselling quality reviews

• Train counsellors on destination, course and university knowledge

• Review difficult or high-value student cases

• Assist counsellors with complex academic profiles

• Set counselling KPIs and monitor performance

• Conduct weekly pipeline meetings

• Develop counselling scripts, SOPs and best practices

• Monitor conversion rates and application quality

• Coordinate with Admissions, Visa, Marketing and Business Development teams
