The Senior Student Consultant will provide professional, ethical, and destination-specific guidance to students seeking higher education abroad. The role involves managing the complete student journey—from initial counselling and academic profiling to university admission, documentation, visa application, and pre-departure support.
The successful candidate must have strong knowledge of international education systems, admission requirements, financial documentation, and student visa procedures. Accuracy, integrity, counselling expertise, and compliance with relevant immigration authorities and partner institutions are essential for this role.
Provide expert counselling for study opportunities in New Zealand, the UK, Canada, Greece, Denmark, Finland, and other destinations.
Assess students’ academic backgrounds, English-language proficiency, financial capacity, career goals, study gaps, and visa eligibility.
Recommend suitable countries, institutions, programmes, and education pathways based on each student’s profile.
Explain admission requirements, tuition fees, scholarships, living expenses, visa conditions, post-study opportunities, and application timelines.
Provide transparent guidance regarding potential challenges, limitations, and visa refusal risks.
Conduct counselling sessions with students and parents, both in person and online.
Maintain regular follow-up with prospective students and support them throughout the decision-making process.
Manage student applications from initial assessment through enrolment confirmation.
Assist students in selecting appropriate universities, colleges, institutions, and programmes.
Review academic documents and ensure applications meet institutional requirements.
Prepare and submit accurate admission applications within the required deadlines.
Liaise with partner institutions and authorised representatives regarding applications, offer letters, interviews, tuition payments, enrolments, and confirmations.
Monitor application progress and provide timely updates to students and parents.
Coordinate scholarship, credibility interview, and conditional-offer requirements where applicable.
Prepare, review, verify, and organise complete student visa documentation according to the requirements of each destination.
Ensure compliance with Immigration New Zealand, UK Visas and Immigration, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, and the relevant immigration authorities of Greece, Denmark, and Finland.
Assist students in preparing Statements of Purpose, Genuine Student statements, motivation letters, study plans, cover letters, and other required documents.
Review academic certificates, transcripts, employment records, sponsor documents, bank statements, income evidence, tax documents, and other financial records.
Guide students regarding medical examinations, police clearances, biometrics, insurance, accommodation, and other visa requirements.
Prepare students for credibility, institution, embassy, or visa interviews where required.
Complete a final document audit before every visa application is submitted.
Ensure that all applications are accurate, consistent, properly documented, and submitted within the required timeframe.
Provide professional support in refusal-case reviews and reapplications when appropriate.
Maintain current knowledge of international admission policies, visa regulations, immigration updates, and destination-specific compliance requirements.
Ensure that all counselling and processing activities follow ethical, transparent, and professional practices.
Never provide misleading information or make unrealistic promises regarding admission, scholarships, visas, work rights, permanent residency, or settlement opportunities.
Identify potential academic, financial, documentation, credibility, and immigration risks before application submission.
Minimise admission and visa refusal risks through accurate student profiling and thorough document verification.
Maintain complete and confidential student records, counselling notes, application trackers, and visa documentation.
Protect students’ personal and financial information according to company policies and applicable data-protection standards.
Maintain professional communication with students, parents, educational institutions, partner representatives, and relevant authorities.
Respond to student enquiries accurately and within the expected timeframe.
Build long-term relationships with students by providing reliable and transparent support.
Coordinate effectively with admission, documentation, accounts, marketing, and management teams.
Escalate complex, sensitive, or high-risk cases to management when necessary.
Guide, train, and mentor junior student consultants and documentation officers.
Review junior team members’ student profiles, applications, and visa documents when required.
Share important admission, visa, and immigration updates with the team.
Support management in improving counselling quality, documentation standards, and internal workflows.
Encourage a professional, collaborative, compliant, and student-focused working environment.
Maintain accurate records of enquiries, counselling sessions, applications, offers, enrolments, visa submissions, approvals, and refusals.
Prepare regular reports on student conversions, application progress, visa outcomes, and destination-wise performance.
Analyse refusal reasons and recommend corrective actions to improve success rates.
Achieve assigned counselling, admission, enrolment, and conversion targets while maintaining service quality and compliance.
Provide management with feedback on student demand, market trends, institutional performance, and operational challenges.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in the study-abroad consultancy sector.
Proven experience in multi-destination student counselling, admissions, and visa processing.
Strong practical knowledge of at least three of the following destinations: New Zealand, the UK, Canada, Greece, Denmark, and Finland.
Experience handling complex student profiles, financial documentation, study gaps, and visa-refusal cases will be an advantage.
Previous experience mentoring or supervising junior counsellors is preferred.
Strong student counselling, profiling, and course-matching abilities.
Excellent knowledge of international admissions and student visa procedures.
Strong document-reviewing and quality-control skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla.
Ability to prepare and review SOPs, motivation letters, study plans, and visa-supporting documents.
