Responsibilities & Context:

Job Overview

CEM Polymer Industries Limited is seeking a motivated and technically capable R&D Assistant Manager to support the development and optimization of polymer and plastic compound formulations and laboratory-based quality control systems.

The selected candidate will work closely with the technical team in formulation development, material evaluation, laboratory testing, QC documentation, SOP development and process support.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop, evaluate and optimize formulations for different plastic and polymer compounds and Injection/Extrusion molding products.

· Conduct laboratory trials and analyse the performance of raw materials, additives and finished compounds.

· Assist in developing formulations for products such as PVC/uPVC/CPVC, TPR/TPE, recycled compounds and engineering plastic compounds.

·         Conduct and document laboratory testing of raw materials and finished products.

· Prepare and maintain QC test protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions and laboratory documentation.

· Establish appropriate testing parameters and acceptance criteria for different products.

·  Analyse test results and prepare technical reports.

· Investigate quality problems and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

· Assist in new product development and improvement of existing formulations.

· Work closely with production and technical teams during scale-up and industrial trials.

· Maintain laboratory records, test reports, formulation records and sample databases.

· Support implementation of systematic quality control and R&D practices in the factory.
