Required Skills
Good understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer.
Good understanding of dynamic systems, mathematical modelling and time-domain simulation, including ODEs and state-space representations.
Knowledge of numerical methods and engineering simulation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong commitment, responsibility, and willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently as well as effectively as part of a research team.
Software & Modelling Skills
Required: Python or MATLAB – for numerical analysis, data processing and simulation support.
Preferred: Simulink / Simscape or Modelica / OpenModelica – for dynamic and transient system modelling.

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Research Engineer to contribute to research and technical development in geothermal power plants and thermal energy systems. The position has a strong focus on thermodynamic modelling, simulation and digital twin development.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement thermodynamic models, dynamic and transient mathematical models, and off-design simulations of power plants and thermal energy systems.
Analyse simulation results and operational data to evaluate system performance and behaviour.
Prepare technical reports, research documentation, and other engineering deliverables.
