∎ JOB PURPOSE
∎ The Senior Grant Manager will support the Global Resource Mobilisation and Partnerships team in strategic and operational stewardship over donor resources by applying a set of relevant systems, policies, procedures and tools to ensure that grants and contracts are donor compliant and best serve the organizational mission. Under the direction of GRP Head of Grant and GRP Director of Grant Management the Senior Grant Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the country program adheres to all its grant management obligations internally within BRAC and externally with donors. This position is empowered to make recommendations for improvements needed within Programme Department systems to support donor compliance.

∎ This role will work closely with all Grant Management Focal and Programme Heads of Bangladesh Programme departments on proposals, financial and narrative reporting, monitoring and analysis, procurement and compliance processes. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Actively engage with GRP Head of Grant on complex donor compliance issues to influence BRAC global grant management policy and procedure.
∎ Proactive participation in GRP team meetings for shaping the strategies, both within Grant Management remit and outside.
∎ Ensure any internal or external grant management audit findings are correctively identified and solved for the respective programme.
∎ Supports Consortium building and management through participation in consortium meetings and negotiations, ensuring requisite contracts in place.
∎ Negotiate contract terms with donors directly on behalf of Programme and attending the review meetings on behalf of BRAC.
∎ Work with GRP Head of Grant, GRP Director of Grant Management and/or Affiliates to diagnose capacity building needs for Programme in grant management and implement action plans to address.
∎ Coordinate and negotiate Grant Management space with Programmes to improve overall Programme operational functions.
∎ Maintaining liaison with the donor/affiliates regarding any clarifications on reporting dates or changing donor requirements and inform teams accordingly; update tracking systems.
∎ Facilitates monthly grant review meetings with a diverse stakeholder group, notes action commitments and follows up to ensure completion and facilitates Kick Off meetings with a diverse stakeholder group.
∎ Participates in Global Grant Management community of practice calls and trainings and applies relevant information and shares the learning internally.
∎ Lead and coordinate due diligence of downstream partners during grant implementation as needed and escalate donor related issues to the senior management team.
∎ Supports the Donor Contract review process by reviewing contracts with a compliance and shares opportunities, proposals, contracts and amendments follow BRAC processes
∎ Identify and address or escalate any potential compliance issues to SMT.
∎ Budget review to ensure correct budget template and identify questionable costs from donor compliance perspective and maintaining the portfolio and pipeline tracker for the Programme.
∎ Use Grant Management System and tools and monitor Programme portfolio and performance in grant management and review across allocated portfolio.
∎ Capacity building of junior staff and promote learning in the grant management team, as applicable.
∎ Develop Grant Management dashboard functionality and maintain up to date.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programmes goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Identify the nature of incident and report according to the safeguarding reporting procedure; and encourage the staffs to report accordingly.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Highly skilled in negotiation and coordination.
∎ Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and trends analysis skills.
∎ Excellent knowledge in MS office, a tech person and a multitasker.
∎ Knowledge on the requirements of major institutional donors, e.g; budgeting, eligibility issues, compliance management, and reporting; experience of engaging with donors at a strategic level (UNHCR, USAID, GAC, DFAT, DFID, DEVCO, ECHO).
∎ Culturally adaptive, Patient, strong vocal and Agile.
∎ Clear understanding of a full grant cycle, including proposal development phase.
