Experience:

• Diploma/B.Sc. in Apparel Manufacturing, Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Garments Technology, or relevant discipline.

• Candidates with strong practical experience in denim garments production may also be considered.

• 8–12 years of relevant experience in Sewing/Production.

• At least 3–5 years in-charge or equivalent position.

• Experience in a 100% Denim Garments Factory is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of Denim Garments Sewing Operations.

• Good understanding of Sewing Machine & Attachments.

• Knowledge of Line Balancing and Production Planning.

• Knowledge of SMV, Efficiency, Productivity, DHU and WIP control.

• Understanding of denim construction, sewing methods, and critical operations.

• Leadership and team management skills.

• Problem-solving and root cause analysis (RCA).

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Ability to read and understand Tech Pack, Operation Bulletin, Sample, Measurement Chart, and Work Instructions.

• Knowledge of quality requirements and common sewing defects.

• Good knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement.

• Must be fluent in English (Reading, writing, and speaking).

Job Responsibilities

• Manage overall sewing floor production activities from line start-up to completion.

• Ensure daily production targets are achieved according to the approved production plan and shipment schedule.

• Monitor line-wise production, efficiency, DHU, quality, WIP, and manpower.

• Ensure proper line loading and balancing according to style, operation breakdown, and production requirements.

• Coordinate with IE, Quality, Cutting, Finishing, Maintenance, PPC, Washing, and Warehouse departments for smooth production flow.

• Ensure proper availability of cut panels, trims, accessories, thread, labels, and other materials before and during production.

• Monitor first output / first-piece approval before proceeding with bulk production.

• Ensure sewing operations are carried out according to approved sample, tech pack, operation bulletin, measurement specification, and buyer requirements.

• Monitor critical denim sewing operations such as waistband, fly, pocket, yoke, back pocket, belt loop, side seam, inseam, hem, bartack, and attachment operations.

• Ensure proper handling of different denim fabrics, washes, constructions, and garment styles.

• Identify bottlenecks and take immediate corrective action to maintain continuous production flow.

• Monitor operator performance and ensure effective manpower allocation and utilization.

• Work closely with IE to improve line efficiency, SMV utilization, line balancing, and productivity.

• Monitor machine breakdowns and coordinate with Maintenance for quick corrective action.

• Ensure proper control of WIP and bundle movement between operations.

• Monitor sewing defects and coordinate with Quality to reduce alteration, rework, rejection, and DHU.

• Conduct regular floor inspections to identify production, quality, manpower, and safety issues.

• Ensure proper implementation of 5S, housekeeping, safety, and workplace discipline on the sewing floor.

• Train, guide, and motivate supervisors, line leaders, operators, and helpers to improve productivity and quality.

• Conduct regular production meetings and communicate target versus achievement to the management.

• Prepare and maintain required production reports and performance records.

• Ensure production is completed according to the required quality, quantity, cost, and delivery standards.

• Support the Production/Sewing Manager in capacity planning, manpower planning, and line allocation.

• Take immediate action on any major production or quality issue and report the same to management.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Production Manager / Management.
