Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Cost Optimization: Drive cost efficiency through key areas, including product strategy, optimizing the man-machine ratio, enhancing factory efficiency, reducing labor costs, and material optimization. The goal is to maximize product value for the consumer.
∎ Standard Time Management (SMV): Develop and maintain a comprehensive SMV library that facilitates transparent, data-driven costing with suppliers. Establish processes for validating SMV to ensure alignment between production and costing phases, working collaboratively with suppliers on SMV-based costing and cut-to-pack SMV validation.
∎ Supplier Collaboration: Engage suppliers in adopting SMV-based costing and validate vendor operation bulletins and SMV measurements. Build strong relationships to align on costing methodologies.
∎ Cost Governance: Implement governance systems for cost validation through standardization and benchmarking. Create competitive cost matrices for different factories or regions, ensuring uniformity and transparency.
∎ Training and Development: Design and develop new training tools and resources for internal staff and external factory teams. Focus on building capabilities that improve cost efficiency and productivity.
∎ Productivity Improvement: Continuously collaborate with vendors and the Manufacturing Excellence (ME) team to reduce SMV and improve overall productivity. Monitor and report on key factory productivity metrics, supporting the ME team’s initiatives.
∎ Reporting and Analysis: Generate comprehensive reports, analyze data, and make informed recommendations to drive productivity and efficiency improvements. Utilize negotiation skills and strategic planning to deliver results.
∎ Communication and Influence: Exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. Influence and engage with all levels of internal and external supplier management, demonstrating effective risk management, troubleshooting abilities, and a proactive approach.
∎ Planning and Organization: Demonstrate expertise in planning, scheduling, and reporting to achieve strategic objectives efficiently and effectively.
