Responsibilities & Context:

1. Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business and project timelines and goals.

  • Prepare annual functional plan and budgets.

  • Identify cost-savings opportunities and value engineering initiatives.

  • Ensure supply chain policy comply with local regulations and industry standards.

  • Develop and implement alternatives and contingency plans.

2. Demand Planning & Project Control

  • Aligns forecasts with BOQ and budgets.

  • Validate and cross-checks engineering BOQs with SCM forecasts.

  • Tracks consumption vs. forecast, variance analysis.

  • Monitor master billing liaison with site-level consumption.

  • Liaise with Finance for cost control and budget monitoring.

3. Sourcing & Procurement

  • Identify, qualify, and develop adequate and strong suppliers/contractors/vendor’s base by conducting market research.

  • Manage RFQs, tendering, bid evaluation, negotiations, purchase orders, contracts and procurement operations.

  • Oversee vendor/contractor relationships, performance monitoring and dispute resolution and ensure orders/contracts align with compliance standards.

4. Inventory, Warehousing & Logistics

  • Oversee stock levels, ERP updates, and warehouse operations.

  • Conduct audits to prevent shortages/overstocking.

  • Plan and manage logistics, fleet, and site deliveries.

5. Cross-Functional and Compliance Coordination

  • Interface with Engineering for BOQ validation, Finance for cost control, audit, risk & internal control, budgeting/reporting, Legal for contract compliance, and Project Execution for material delivery.

  • Ensure comprehensive analysis, benchmarking, transparent reporting to leadership and board.

  • Ensure contract integrity, regulatory compliance and audit readiness.

  • Maintain operational records, ERP entries, and documentation for internal/external audits.

  • Safeguard segregation of duties across engineering, finance, project management and SCM functions.

6. Team Leadership and KPIs

  • Lead the teams, set KPIs and performance targets for the team members, provide training and drive professional development.

  • Achieve standard departmental KPIs.
