Experience:
Must have prior experience in the automotive industry, specifically in 2-wheeler, 3-wheeler, or 4-wheeler vehicle manufacturing or assembly.
Strong understanding of automotive assembly line operations.
Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret BOMs (Bill of Materials).
Hands-on experience with electric and internal combustion engine vehicle assembly.
Understanding of EV components.
Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate across departments.
Exposure to electric vehicle (EV) assembly lines is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Modern Assembly Tools:Quality inspection. Use of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
Technological Awareness Exposure to EV-specific assemblies (motor integration, battery pack, wiring harness).
Ability to adapt to AI/ML-assisted quality or predictive maintenance tools.
Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and team coordination abilities.
Willingness to work in shifts and meet tight production deadlines.
As a Senior Engineer / Engineer in the Assembly Department for Vehicle Manufacturing, your role will involve overseeing and executing the assembly processes for 2-wheeler, 3-wheeler or 4-wheeler vehicles. You will be responsible for ensuring that all components are assembled efficiently, accurately and in line with quality and safety standards. In this role you will bridge the gap between engineering design and production execution by implementing assembly best practices, utilizing modern equipment and continuously improving line efficiency to meet production targets.
Assembly Process Execution:
Manage and execute the assembly of vehicles (2W/3W/4W) as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure correct installation of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
Equipment Operation & Troubleshooting:
Operate and monitor modern assembly equipment such as:
Pneumatic and hydraulic tools, torque tools
Conveyor-based assembly lines
EV battery handling and BMS systems (if applicable)
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment-related issues during production.
Process Improvement:
Analyze assembly line efficiency and recommend process improvements.
Implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and improve productivity.
Quality Compliance:
Perform in-line inspections to ensure quality at each stage of assembly.
Collaborate with the QA/QC team to address non-conformists and prevent recurrence.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment usage, and downtime.
Update work instructions and assembly guides as required.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with R&D, design, and quality departments to ensure design-for-assembly (DFA) practices.
Participate in pilot builds and new model launches.
Training & Safety:
Train operators and technicians on the use of equipment and safety standards.
Ensure adherence to EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) protocols on the shop floor.
