Job Responsibilities:
∎ Social Compliance
∎ Maintain 100% compliant and safe factory base as per ZXY audit criteria and ZXY Code of conduct (COC).
∎ Monitor audit criteria to ensure customers growing need on social compliance and safety.
∎ Support and prepare factories for SEDEX, amfori BSCI, WCA, WRAP, CTPAT and ICS Audit.
∎ Interface social compliance, Occupational Health, and Safety (OHS) and sustainability strategies with respective teams under the development of ZXY sustainability and compliance module.
∎ Factory Audit
∎ Check and verify all documents related to Policy & Procedure, SOPs, certificates, licenses, and records.
∎ Monitor and evaluate factory’s production, manufacturing, shipping, and receiving processes against related social compliance regulations.
∎ Monitor and ensure if factories are compliant with the local laws and regulations (Bangladesh Labor Law-2006, Bangladesh Labor Rules-2015, recent amendments, BNBC, etc.).
∎ Monitor and follow up on factory’s waste management which includes waste generation, treatment, and disposal, and advise them to improve where needed.
∎ Monitor if Trade Unions compliant with Freedom of Association/Participation committee, etc., to ensure factory workers are not deprived of their basic rights.
∎ Review Worker Health & Safety (WHS) related issues and advise in case of any non-conformity.
∎ Check Building Construction & Structural Approval with the name of authority.
∎ Prepare and monitor the approved Corrective Action Plan (CAP) with factories.
∎ Environmental & Chemical Compliance:
∎ Monitor factories to follow up on Basic Health & Safety under Chemical Management System (CMS) as per requirement.
∎ Liaise with team to support factories in developing CMS and Environmental Management System (EMS) when required.
∎ Assist factories to implement Chemical Spillage Drill and ensure its effectiveness.
∎ Monitor and ensure effectiveness of Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
∎ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):
∎ Compare supplier’s CSR strategies against customers, local and international best practices to inspire and guide ZXY vendors to improve standard of living of workers and society.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years’ experience in Compliance Audit in a reputed buying office, third-party audit firm or apparel manufacturing unit
∎ Having SA 8000 Certification Basic Course will be added advantage
∎ Must be adept on WRAP, BSCI, SEDEX, ISO, RSC, Alliance, and Social Auditing System
∎ Profound knowledge of Knit garment engineering and production processes is required
∎ Have sound knowledge of fabrics and an excellent network of fabric, print, embroidery & trims suppliers
∎ Should have excellent understanding of technical / production process
∎ Should have a passion for product development, an eye for styles/details and fits.
∎ Should be able to handle MIS entries
∎ Must be capable to handle buyers independently in tremendous pressure with aggressive marketing attitude
∎ Must have skills in examining and establishing proper merchandising operations and procedures
∎ Good understanding of core business aspects
∎ Should have ideas about effective communication for raw materials booking and delivery
∎ Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships and work as a team
∎ Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic
∎ Strong presentation and delivery skills
∎ Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English
∎ IT proficiency - advance level skill is a MUST in MS Office package (Especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
∎ Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently
∎ Ability to multitask and remain organized, meet deadlines
