Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a related area.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Cover World Vision activities in the field regularly (two-three days a week on average.) Produce high-quality written content, including compelling news and feature stories, fact sheets, project profiles, blogs and social media materials that illustrate the humanitarian situation and the impact of World Vision's activities.
∎ Produce photographic materials (images, photo essays) to illustrate field stories.
∎ Develop promotional content on World Vision's work and manage social media and digital platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and web sites.
∎ Manage daily internal and external requests for communications resources targeted for various audiences.
∎ Ensure that all content complies with World Vision child protection protocols and international brand standards.
∎ Deliver edited content on deadline according to agreed-upon quality standards and file formats, including captions and translations, using World Vision content systems.
∎ Assist in planning and coordinating field trips for international media to effectively position World Vision and its work.
∎ Liaise with communications teams in national, regional and support offices to identify and manage international media opportunities.
∎ Prepare talking points, media briefs, news background briefs, speeches, Q&A, presentations and other media-relations materials for use by management spokespeople.
∎ Coordinate VIP visits in order to maximise their exposure to humanitarian issues and programmes; produce accompanying communications materials.
∎ Develop an online database of stories and photographs to support grant reporting, annual reports, fundraising materials, etc.
∎ Ensure that all story and photo resources are filed quickly and accurately on the World Vision Storyhub database.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Minimum five years of progressive, related communications experience with a large organisation, preferably in the NGO or development sector.
∎ Superior story telling skills, including reporting, writing, and editing, as well as oral presentation skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Ability to produce publication-quality digital photographs to illustrate field stories.
∎ Demonstrated experience in media relations and media field trip management.
∎ Extensive field communications experience in emergency or refugee-related settings. ?
∎ Excellent social media development and management experience.
∎ Demonstrated ability to think strategically, manage a plan and meet tight deadlines. ?
∎ Ability to work effectively under pressure in difficult, insecure and stressful conditions-both independently and as a team player.
∎ Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
∎ Positive self-starter who takes initiative and applies analytical and problem-solving skills.
∎ Clear understanding of Core Humanitarian Standards.
∎ Experience in supporting grant activities and reporting from international donors.
∎ Excellent written and spoken English and Bangla.
∎ Proficiency in Chittagonian and/or Rohingya is an added advantage.

Salary: Negotiable
