Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context

The Security Officer oversees and coordinates the security team`s activities, ensuring the safety and security of the organization`s premises, assets, and personnel. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills and a thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the security team, including scheduling, assigning posts, and monitoring performance.

  • Develop and implement security procedures, protocols, and emergency response plans.

  • Conduct regular security assessments and risk analyses to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate countermeasures.

  • Monitor security systems, such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems, and respond to incidents as necessary.

  • Investigate security breaches, incidents, and complaints, and prepare detailed reports.

  • Recruit new security guards as per the requirements.

  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies and other external security providers as needed.

  • Provide training and guidance to security personnel on security procedures, policies, and best practices.

  • Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and training.

  • Manage the security budget and resources effectively.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment within the security team.
