Job Context
The Security Officer oversees and coordinates the security team`s activities, ensuring the safety and security of the organization`s premises, assets, and personnel. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills and a thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate the daily operations of the security team, including scheduling, assigning posts, and monitoring performance.
Develop and implement security procedures, protocols, and emergency response plans.
Conduct regular security assessments and risk analyses to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
Monitor security systems, such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems, and respond to incidents as necessary.
Investigate security breaches, incidents, and complaints, and prepare detailed reports.
Recruit new security guards as per the requirements.
Liaise with law enforcement agencies and other external security providers as needed.
Provide training and guidance to security personnel on security procedures, policies, and best practices.
Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and training.
Manage the security budget and resources effectively.
Foster a positive and collaborative working environment within the security team.
