Responsibilities & Context:
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Setup: Install, configure, and commission a wide range of security and communication systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Intruder Alarm, and PABX systems.
Infrastructure & Cabling: Execute professional onsite wiring, cabling, and conduit channeling (surface and recessed) ensuring compliance with safety and aesthetic standards.
Site Assessments & Planning: Conduct thorough on-site technical assessments to determine equipment placement, wiring routes, and project material requirements.
Technical Drawings: Read, interpret, and contribute to technical blueprints, system schematics, and layout drawings for accurate installation.
Support & Maintenance: Provide proactive maintenance and rapid-response troubleshooting/repair services for existing digital security setups.
System Integration: Configure network settings, IP addresses, and software applications to ensure seamless integration of digital security products.
Client Handover: Test and validate installed systems alongside clients, providing basic training on system operation and user interfaces.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to industry standards, local electrical codes, and company safety protocols while working on-site.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience as a technician in low-voltage, ELV (Extra-Low Voltage), or electronic security industries.
Strong hands-on experience with power tools, conduit bending, and various cabling techniques.
Solid understanding of networking basics (IP routing, switches, routers) for digital security systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-centric attitude.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
