∎ At least 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead the process of development for overall Shelter, Site Improvement and Non Food Items (NFI) strategy and operational plan in line with organizational strategy, capacity and the sector response to meet the needs, with appropriate and effective resources mobilization including good practices.
∎ Design Shelter and Site Improvement and NFI response mechanisms based on the assessment/ analysis of the needs of refugee households and communities, in adherence to international standards and national/international sector guidance.
∎ Manage coordination with all relevant stakeholders and shelter actors (UN agencies, Inter Sector Coordination Group-ISCG, UNHCR Shelter Team, Government agencies, INGOs, local and international partners) to positioning BRAC as key leading agency for the shelter response.
∎ Ensure detailed plan, design, management, supervision and implementation of Shelter and Site Improvement activities including bill of quantities (BoQ), material list with cost estimates for all shelter, site improvement including NFI and small scale infrastructure related works.
∎ Identify and lead the implementation of the most appropriate project intervention based on need assessment through field visit and observation, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Key Informant Interview (KII), community consultation and in close collaboration of community, Site Management Sector (SMS), CiC Officials, Mahji and other relevant stakeholders.
∎ Provide technical guidance & assistance and appropriate technical consideration on effect management and implementation of project interventions to colleagues by providing training, orientation and on the job training in line with UNHCR, ISCG and Organization standard to address the specific needs of women, child, person with disability and Extreme Vulnerable Group (EVI).
∎ Visit and supervise the whole implementation process of shelter and site improvement intervention frequently and take necessary adjustment to ensure the quantitative and qualitative work including randomly visit and follow-up.
∎ Ensure BRAC and Donor compliance reports and requirement in collaboration and effective support of Program management like HR, Financial, and Operations, Procurement and logistic, Communication etc. departments /Units.
∎ Support to maintain accountability interms of quality and quantity including ensure the validation of the activity data generated into the field with close connection and collaboration of MIS department.
∎ Ensure that Shelter and NFI Project team operates as a high performance team respected by and adding tangible value to achieving set objectives and indicators in relation to context specific of Shelter & NFI sector of HCMP.
∎ Establish a productive professional working relationship with the different stakeholders and ensuring that BRAC has a remarkable representation in the different meeting, workshop, seminar etc.
∎ Ensure timely and effective coordination, and information sharing within BRAC.
∎ Ensure advocacy as a tool that can be used as a response to humanitarian needs in emergencies and practices in assigned working areas for establish the right of the community.
∎ Prepare different kind of digital report and share with international community and Donor with fact and figure as well as necessity of the Shelter and NFI Project.
∎ Assist to collect different document/journals related to Shelter and NFI for team and synthesize as well as develop some relevant Visual Aid/materials.
∎ Assist to write the project proposal and concept not to assign authorize persons of Organization.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
