- Age 20 to 30 years
2–5 years of practical experience as a Sample Man in a woven garments factory.
Experience in shirts, trousers, jackets, shorts, or other woven garments will be preferred.
Good knowledge of woven garment construction and sewing operations.
Ability to operate industrial sewing machines, including single-needle, overlock, flatlock where applicable, and specialized machines.
Knowledge of different fabric types, trims, stitches, seams, and garment finishing.
Ability to understand sample comments and follow measurement specifications.
Good teamwork, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet sample submission deadlines.
Responsibilities & Context:
Prepare and develop woven garment samples according to buyer requirements, approved tech packs, measurement charts, and sample comments.
Perform sewing operations to make development, fit, proto, salesman, photo, size set, and pre-production (PP) samples.
Read and understand technical sketches, construction details, and measurement specifications.
Ensure proper fabric handling, cutting, sewing, and finishing of samples.
Follow the sample schedule and ensure timely submission of samples.
Coordinate with the sample room, pattern section, merchandising, cutting, and production teams.
Identify construction and workmanship issues and take corrective action as required.
Maintain quality standards according to buyer specifications and factory requirements.
Support the sample in-charge and production team in resolving sewing-related technical issues.
