• Diploma or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety / Engineering / Marine / Mechanical or related discipline.
• Recognized safety training certificates (Fire Safety, First Aid, Hot Work, Confined Space) will be an advantage.

Experience Requirements
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in a ship recycling yard, shipyard, construction, steel, or heavy industrial environment.
• Practical knowledge of industrial safety practices is mandatory.
• Experience working in HKC-compliant ship recycling yards will be considered an advantage.
Additional Requirements
• Sound understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures.
• Physically fit to work in a demanding ship recycling environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Bangla; basic English skills preferred.
• Willingness to work in shifts and in outdoor industrial conditions.
Responsibilities & Context:
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct daily safety inspections across the ship recycling yard.
• Ensure strict compliance with yard safety rules, PPE usage, and safe work procedures.
• Identify unsafe acts and hazardous conditions and initiate immediate corrective actions.
• Monitor high-risk activities including cutting operations, lifting, hot work, confined space entry, and heavy machinery operation.
• Assist in conducting toolbox talks, safety briefings, and worker awareness programs.
• Report accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; assist in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Support implementation and monitoring of Hong Kong Convention (HKC), ISO 30000, and yard HSE procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors, medical staff, and fire/safety teams during emergency situations.
• Maintain safety inspection checklists, reports, and records.
• Assist in PPE issuance, monitoring, and stock record keeping.
