Experience:

• At least 4 years

• Master of Social Science (MSS)

• At least 4 years

• Experience Requirements: At least four years in research and writing (data collection, data analysis, documentation, field supervision, field work, interviewing, report writing, editing, research design/analysis, survey design/planning, survey, transcription, etc.)

• Readiness to travel extensively throughout the project locations in the north-centre and the south-east of the country.

• Excellent language and communication skills (English and Bangla).

• Skills of supervision and management of research and investigation team.

• Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).

Researchers willing to take challenge in the field of human rights with specific attention to forest, forest communities and climate change under a 42-month project.

Job location: Dhaka but will be required to travel extensively in the project locations.

Job Description/Responsibility:

• Conduct survey and research activities (i.e. survey design, data collection, etc.) on issues concerning forest, forest communities and climate change.

• Participate in planning and conducting investigations.

• Data analysis (both qualitative and quantitative), writing research and investigative reports, editing and translating from English to Bangla and Bangla to English.

• Participate in training as a resource person.

• Assist in resource management including dissemination of knowledge resource.

Salary Range: Maximum BDT 55,000.00 after confirmation

Other Benefits: Two yearly festival bonuses that is equivalent to one-month pay.
