Educational Requirements:
∎ A Master's degree from a recognizable public or private university, preferably with a first class or a CGPA higher than 3.50 from the following subjects: Econometrics, Statistics, LaborEconomics Development Economics, Mathematical Economics or any other area of economics
Experience Requirements:
∎ At most 6 year(s)
∎ Freshers are also encouraged to apply.
Job Context:
∎ Research Assistant (Research area: Education/Labor/Behavioral Economics)
∎ Contractual (as long as he/she will be required, contract might be yearly, semi-annually or quarterly)
∎ We are searching for a dedicated and experienced research assistant to join our team. As aresearch assistant, you will be required to perform the following tasks:
∎ Working hour: No fixed hours (6 days a week)
∎ Office Location: 25/25, Tajmahal Road, Block - C, BFDL, Majumdar Bari, 1st Floor, H/Q of CAC.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assisting in research works.
∎ Preparing questionnaire.
∎ Conducting survey (both primary survey in field and secondary survey online)
∎ Preparing databank on different research areas
∎ Data entry into excel sheet.
∎ Data coding in different statistical packages : SPSS, E-views , Stata
∎ Conducting complex research models using statistical software and using practical implementation of econometrics/statistical principles and theories
∎ Attending research clients and collection of primary/secondary data for clients
∎ Expert in research documentation such as literature reviews, writing research methodologies, analyzing different sampling techniques
∎ Expert in analysis of data findings with relevant literature, graphs, charts, diagrams and critical analysis of both qualitative and quantitative research models based on software findings
∎ Writing research reports , working as co-author in articles to be published
∎ Promoting the organization to collect research donors.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Proven experience as a researcher at academic and professional level.
∎ A thorough understanding of best practices at academic and professional research level on different statistical software packages such as E-views, SPSS, Stata etc.
∎ Expert in dealing with different kind of econometric models e.g. regression techniques, structural modeling equation (SEM), exploratory data analysis, time series forecasting, logistic models, factor analysis, principle component analysis etc.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
∎ An IELTS/GRE/GMAT score holder will be given preference
∎ Training experience in the area of SPSS, STATA will be given preferences.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 18000 - 30000 (Monthly)
∎ (Subject to open discussion and negotiation)
