Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
Experience: 5–7 years of experience in food quality control, preferably within a fish processing plant.
Key Skills and Competencies: Analytical thinking: For examining test results and identifying trends.
Communication: Ability to report findings to management and train production staff.
Problem-solving: Resolving quality deviations quickly.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work on a production floor, potentially in cold/wet conditions.
Responsibility
Incoming Inspection: Inspect raw fish and ingredients for quality, temperature, and freshness upon receipt.
Process Monitoring: Monitor production lines to ensure adherence to standards
Hygiene & GMP Enforcement: Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation standards (SSOP) on the factory floor.
HACCP Compliance: Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs), such as metal detection, temperature logging, and cooking times.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed quality records for traceability, including daily checks, calibration, and non-conformance reports.
Testing & Sampling: Collect samples for sensory (organoleptic) evaluation, bacteriological analysis, and nutritional testing.
Final Product Inspection: Verify packaging, labeling, weights, and overall product integrity before dispatch.
