Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Food Science and Nutrition, Food Technology, Chemistry
∎ In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards, including HACCP, GMP, and FSMS
∎ Knowledge of regulations related to food safety, such as FSMS; BSTI, BFSA and FDA
Job Responsibilities:
∎ A deep understanding of the food manufacturing process, including knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control. Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures and standards, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations and industry best practices.
∎ Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and marketing, to develop and implement product development strategies to enhance the company's product portfolio and market share.
∎ Conduct regular quality inspections of incoming raw materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Arrange and handle internal and external audit and conduct management review meeting.
∎ Maintain accurate records of quality control procedures and results.
∎ Analyze product quality data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
∎ Develop and deliver quality and product development training to staff, as needed.
∎ Understanding of sensory evaluation techniques, including consumer testing, descriptive analysis, and discrimination testing.
∎ Knowledge of ingredient functionality and interactions, including understanding the role of ingredients in product development.
∎ Experience in recipe development and formulation, including understanding of ingredient compatibility and functionality.
∎ Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, including prioritization, timeline management, and resource allocation.
∎ Analytical skills: Strong analytical skills, including experience in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
∎ Strong problem-solving skills, Process optimization
∎ Industry knowledge: Understanding of industry trends and best practices, including attending conferences, reading industry publications, and networking with peers in the industry
