Responsibilities & Context:
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with Chinese suppliers to obtain the best pricing and quality.
- Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify reliable vendors and alternative sources.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely order placement based on inventory and production requirements.
- Monitor and track order status, delivery schedules, and lead times.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g., logistics, finance, production) to ensure smooth procurement operations.
- Perform quality checks and follow up on defective or unsatisfactory goods.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Stay updated on industry trends, import/export regulations, and price fluctuations.
