Educational Requirements:

∎ Skills Required: Computer skill, Microsoft Excel

Job Context:
∎ The Psychologist is responsible for Mental Health and Psychosocial support at the location level ensuring project implementation is in line with the project work plan and in accordance with WV’s standards and requirements. S/he will provide Clinical Supervision, Mentorship and Coaching to Community counsellors to effectively implement, and deliver quality mental health and psychosocial support interventions.
∎ The Psychologist works together with a team of Community counsellors in project locations in Satkhira and Bagerhat Districts, and collaboratively with Youth Empowered Project Technical Specialists, Youth Empowered project partner, and WV Area Programs staff. S/he conducts clinical assessments of children, adolescents, youth and their caregivers and determines the need for the provision of psychological assistance. S/he determines the appropriate type of mental health/psychosocial treatment, and makes referrals to other services as required, including working with local government authorities.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ • Project planning, implementation and establish systems
∎ • Project management & ensure accountability
∎ • Policy advice and strategic technical guidance and leadership
∎ • Build strategic partnership and alliances
∎ • Document project reports
∎ • Ensure MEAL guidelines are adhered to
∎ • Ensuring effective donor and grants compliances
∎ • Ensure capacity building of Volunteers, community counselors and other relevant stakeholders

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 55 years
∎ Excellent communication skills (written and spoken in English and
∎ Bangla)
∎ Ability to draft and edit written quality reports in both English and Bangla
∎ Ability to develop detailed and formulate work plans, prioritize, and work under pressure.
∎ Ability to analyze evaluate and interpret factual data and prepare
∎ accurate and complete reports and other related documents
∎ Solid knowledge and experience in project management and financial
∎ resource management
∎ Good knowledge of MHPSS institutional mandates, policies, and
∎ guidelines pertaining
∎ Must show flexibility and openness to learning different psychological modalities
∎ Experience managing projects in complex working environments
∎ Must have a good understanding of how psychological interventions are delivered to adolescents and youth; particularly girls and young women and the practice of working with lay helpers
∎ A minimum of 3 years working experience in mental health and psychosocial support preferably in development project,
∎ Ability to take initiative, team player who is able to work with minimum supervision
∎ Ability to use computers and MS Office packages.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 60000 - 65000 (Monthly)
∎ Salary is fixed as per organizational structure and policy.
