Job Context:
∎ Contract Duration: 28 February, 2023 (With high possibility of extension).
∎ Start Date: 1st August 2022
∎ He/she will be assigned for providing direct mental health and care practices support at government hospital and health clinic in different locations. She/he Will supervise psychosocial workers and volunteers and monitor the activity regularly. Regular monthly report and weekly updates are required. Regular communication and communication with partner and government is also mandatory activity of this position.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Mission 1: Answer to the identified needs by providing direct psychological support to beneficiaries and refer internally and externally as needed, respecting confidentiality and the rights of the beneficiary:
∎ Answer to internal and referred beneficiaries for further psychological assessment through interview, observation and/or assessment scales; and external referrals.
∎ Identify Psychological, emotional and behavioral difficulties; diagnose; develop interactive action plan with clients and provide psychological and psychosocial support at individual, group and family level.
∎ Refer beneficiaries with specific needs of psychiatric support to external services and follow-up on all referrals, in coordination with your line manager, following the appropriate strategy of the project.
∎ Visit and discuss with beneficiaries before referring and ensuring mediation if needed with other stakeholders.
∎ Participate to mediation between beneficiaries and families or between families and other structures.
∎ Organize and implement more specific psychosocial support activities through different methods including mediation activities, creative or recreational activities, group discussions, group daily activities with general beneficiaries in health clinic and community area.
∎ Participate to the discussions and decision making in the frame of case management meetings with relevant stakeholder and ACF technical manager.
∎ Write specific reports for critical cases ensuring confidentiality.
∎ Write technical advices on referral forms to send to partners.
∎ Mission 2: Participate in the implementation of the MHPSS&P project
∎ Ensure the quality of MPHSS services provided
∎ Ensure the psychological and psycho-social follow-up of the beneficiaries ;
∎ Guarantee the follow-up session for admitted beneficiaries in hospital and outpatient patients for completing the full psychological therapy;
∎ Organize and conduct training on MHPSS for PSW and volunteers.
∎ Contribute to the mapping of relevant actors (referral network) and set up of referral systems to other services available.
∎ Mission 3: To conduct specific psychosocial group activities (adapted and appropriate to each one’s specific needs and capacities):
∎ Activities :With whom
∎ Conduct different group activities on awareness rising and prevention programs with individuals, families and communities, neighbors.
∎ Conduct support groups with particular such as disabled, isolated/discriminated people, etc.
∎ When needed/possible, work with the partners and volunteers to create and implement psycho-social activities in the centres and at community level for dissemination of information among partner staff, volunteers and community people.
∎ Ensure a qualitative follow up of the beneficiaries participating to group activities.
∎ Reporting of activities and on-going assessment of the beneficiaries’ psychosocial situation.
∎ Mission 4: To produce regular reports on activities, assessments, follow-up and other related documents to ensure the quality and reporting of the project:
∎ Reports on a weekly basis about activities planned and implemented.
∎ Analyses and reports on beneficiaries’ MHPSS status.
∎ Ensure a daily quantitative and qualitative reporting through the tools (assessment form, follow up form, group activity reporting tool, discharge form which includes the final assessment of the beneficiary’s psychosocial status) and system in place.
∎ Any other reports to be made upon line manager’s request.
∎ In formal and informal meetings with the team, participate to a qualitative analysis of the different kinds of issues, at individual, family and community level.
∎ Mission 5: Develop work in multidisciplinary teams
∎ Work in close collaboration with the medical, nutrition, food security and water and sanitation departments ;
∎ Exchange information concerning the projects;
∎ Participate in a weekly meeting with other MHPSS-P supervisors to address common issues and discuss and agree on action plans for specific cases;
∎ Mission 6: Respect a strict confidentiality
∎ Respect confidentiality regarding the content of clinical interviews, except when exchanging information with other team members to draw joint action plans in the best interest of the beneficiaries.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 1 year experience in clinic/ hospital at psychotherapy unit.
∎ Sense of confidentiality.
∎ Good knowledge of child and/or adult development.
∎ Good command of at least one psychotherapeutic approach; ex: CBT, IPT, PM plus.
∎ Training and case management aptitudes.
∎ Trauma focused therapeutic approach
∎ Training and case management aptitudes
∎ Knowledge of humanitarian MHPSS
∎ English and local languages
∎ Ability to cope with emotionally demanding situation

Salary: Tk. 55000 (Monthly)

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 1-month basic salary two times per year.
