Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure equality, diversity, inclusion, and protection across the projects of HCRP (40%)
∎ Mainly responsible for building capacities of the program staff and strengthening the overall gender, disability inclusion, and child protection component in the implemented projects of HCRP.
∎ Provide technical support and follow-up to the project's personnel and overall team to mainstream gender, disability, inclusion, and protection issues during proposals development, design/redesign project's specific phase including advice on resourcing, data collection and analysis, M&E and appropriate tools and information.
∎ Promote gender, disability inclusion approach in the projects' context and improve the accessibility of the persons with disabilities to the several activities.
∎ Conduct accessibility audits of the interventions.
∎ Support the team in designing and collecting age, gender and disability disaggregated data and conducting Capacity Gap Analysis, including focus group discussion inclusive of persons with disabilities.
∎ Generate quality evidence on the needs and capacities of people with disabilities, including knowledge on assistive products, for using them in research and program work.
∎ Develop IEC material if required, other office-wise knowledge, and case stories of good practice on protection, disability inclusion.
∎ Build an inclusive environment and adhere to the organization's Protection policy and standards to be committed to the organization's vision statement and core values.
∎ Coordinate with MEL team to include age, gender, and disability inclusion in the MEAL framework.
∎ Capacity building initiatives for project participants, key stakeholders, and project staff at the program level (15%)
∎ Prepare Capacity building plan and facilitate training for program staff.
∎ Provide capacity building to the staff and project's participants, including awareness about GBV, Child Protection, and Disability inclusion.
∎ Support the planning, monitoring, drafting, and dissemination of the protection, disability inclusion in the project and organization overall.
∎ Interact, build and nurture effective working relationships to foster coordination, collaboration, and partnership for increasing networking and advocacy with working groups, GO, NGOs, Ups, donors, and other institutions/ strategic stakeholders working on disability inclusion.
∎ Support the development of a case management approach, that includes documenting work/ activities in a care plan and setting up effective referral mechanisms or pathways to other service providers.
∎ Organize basic skill development training for project participants on different topics i.e. Gender, Early Child Development interventions, Child Protection, Adolescent skill development, disability & inclusion, etc.
∎ Orient key stakeholders on Complaints & Feedback Mechanism (CFM), Child Protection, Safeguarding & Gender Sensitivity issues concerning project activities.
∎ Organize training and workshop in different sectors for internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Programme Development, and Reporting for IRB (20%)
∎ Assist Programme Manager and Programme Development team in preparing project documents and interim and final narrative report as per proposal and project need.
∎ Review all proposals and program budgets, when necessary, provide inputs to the development of new proposals by incorporating gender, protection, and inclusion as required.
∎ Review progress reports, project completion reports, etc. for different projects and components of IRB as per the reporting schedules and templates and provide support in ensuring timely reporting to donors
∎ To ensure organizational visibility in different stages.
∎ Contribute to Protection strategy and orientation of staff to ensure high program quality and ensuring alignment with standard methodologies.
∎ Support Project Managers and Project Officers to ensure quality implementation and appropriate M&E systems, provide mentorship where needed to improve the effectiveness of these systems, and work to ensure outputs and impact data are captured and used to optimize program quality, developing assessment tools, and technical evaluations.
∎ In collaboration with Senior Managers ensure smooth management and integration with Child Protection, Gender and disability inclusion.
∎ Find opportunities for new programming, design, and develop concept notes and proposals (based on program evidence) to grow the Protection and inclusion.
∎ Develop and/or input into protection assessments and protection reporting analysis for program development both in Rohingya crises.
∎ Ensures comprehensive and effective communication, coordination, and advocacy with different stakeholders (20%)
∎ Dedicatedly participate in, and contribute to, coordination meetings and working groups, specifically the CPSS, PWG, PSEA, and other related task forces
∎ Dedicatedly build strong working alliances with other international and national actors/organizations working on PWG TT-related advocacy
∎ Dedicatedly develop and maintain effective working relationships with other key partners, including donors, government actors, UN agencies, international and local NGOs, and other relevant actors,
∎ Ensure IR's active contribution in all coordination forums at the local level (sub-districts and camps)
∎ Lead the process to generate evidence and document best practice practices, case studies
∎ Ensure effective networking and coordination with CiC, RRRC, Site Management, Sector Coordinator for FDMN activities.
∎ Ensure appropriate links with national/local authorities, state institutions, civil society, and other relevant stakeholders, including effective coordination and information exchange with them.
∎ Represent Islamic Relief Bangladesh in coordination meeting at RRRC, Upazila, and district level.
∎ Represent IRB and District Advocate for the legitimate needs and rights of the camp population through liaison with Camp Administrator, humanitarian service providers, and other actors.
∎ Provide support to set up and maintain a camp information management system in line with global Cluster guidelines including sex- and age-disaggregated data collection and transparent, yet appropriate, information sharing with all relevant stakeholders in a manner that upholds the principle of confidentiality.
∎ Assist in liaising with partners, government representatives, donor agencies, national and international NGOs to ensure smooth implementation of the project.
∎ Organized lesson learned workshop for further organizational development.
∎ Other Requirements (5%)
∎ Participate & involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities.
∎ Take initiatives to ensure the security of project staff and participants during the intervention.
∎ Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
