Job Context:
∎ Alliance for Cooperation and Legal Aid Bangladesh (ACLAB) is a national NGO working in Bangladesh for the past 35 years in the development sector is looking for the below-mentioned position in Bhasanchar:
∎ Position: Protection and Community Engagement Officer
∎ Project: Provision of Quality Education for Rohingya Refugees living in Bhasan Char
∎ Supported by: GAC pooled fund through BRAC.
∎ 100% at Bhasanchar, Rohingya camp, Hatiya, Noakhali.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implement Child protection activities & community-based child protection mechanisms.
∎ Coordinate with all agencies and sectors of child protection in the project area.
∎ Contribute to Needs Assessment, including child-led safety mapping and community consultations.
∎ Facilitate children in need of additional support, care or protection.
∎ Prepare weekly/monthly work plans with clear objectives.
∎ Prepare and disseminate project reporting and documentation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 50 years
∎ Required to adhere to the values of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, non-discrimination, gender justice, PSEA, safeguarding, Do No Harm, women's rights, and child safety.
∎ Preferably in Social science/Social welfare/ Law/Gender studies.
∎ Knowledge of the Rohingya refugee crisis and humanitarian response.
∎ Good training or facilitation skills.
∎ Good communication and networking skills.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 40000 (Monthly)
∎ Monthly salary BDT 40,000.00 consolidated including AIT. One festive bonus and other benefits will be applicable as per project documents i.e. mobile allowances, local conveyance etc.
