Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Project Planning and Implementation:
∎ Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities to achieve the project’s goals and objectives.
∎ Develop and oversee the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) and ensure alignment with project targets and timelines.
∎ Ensure the effective implementation of climate-resilient agriculture, sustainable livelihoods, water management, DRR, climate migration, climate justice and governance interventions.
∎ Manage the key project staffs, local government bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of project services.
∎ Develop and maintain detailed work plans and schedules for project activities.
∎ Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Head of the program.
∎ Ensure that project activities are implemented in a timely and efficient manner.
∎ Lead producing periodic project reports and deliver to the respective authorities maintaining deadlines.
∎ Uphold organizational policy and mandates and donor compliances as applicable at all stages of project management.
∎ Team Leadership and Capacity Building:
∎ Supervise and mentor project staff, ensuring effective teamwork and high performance.
∎ Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and facilitate learning.
∎ Provide technical guidance and support to field teams for the effective delivery of activities.
∎ Organize capacity-building initiatives for staff, partners, and stakeholders to enhance project impact.
∎ Networking and Advocacy:
∎ Establish and maintain strong communication and networking with government and non-government stakeholders.
∎ Coordinate with government and non-government organizations to ensure the effective delivery of project services.
∎ Communicate and collaborate with government representatives and other key stakeholders to gain support for project activities.
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, community leaders, and relevant organizations.
∎ Follow up on advocacy, coordination, networking, and collaboration with the union, Upazila, and national-level line departments.
∎ Maintain effective liaison with private sector representatives, Union Parishad members, extension officials, and community leaders to secure support for project implementation.
∎ Gender and Social Inclusion
∎ Promote gender-responsive and inclusive behaviour in all actions and decisions.
∎ Ensure non-discrimination based on gender, age, ethnicity, disability, or other factors, and uphold sensitivity to diversity and inclusion.
∎ Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL):
∎ Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of project activities, ensuring compliance with M&E frameworks and donor requirements.
∎ Ensure the timely collection, analysis, and reporting of data for evidence-based decision-making.
∎ Document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories to inform future programming.
∎ Facilitate mid-term reviews, evaluations, and learning workshops to ensure continuous improvement.
∎ Financial and Resource Management:
∎ Oversee the budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation for project activities.
∎ Ensure efficient utilization of resources and compliance with organizational financial policies and donor guidelines.
∎ Review and approve financial reports, expense claims, and procurement requests.
∎ Coordinate with the Finance and Admin team for effective financial management and reporting.
∎ Reporting and Documentation:
∎ Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual, and all intermittent reports to the donor.
∎ Ensure the accuracy and quality of reports, including programmatic and financial aspects.
∎ Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities, progress, and outcomes.
∎ Develop and share knowledge products such as case studies, policy briefs, and technical reports.
∎ Logistics and Compliance
∎ Ensure timely logistical support and adherence to the organization's financial and HR policies.
∎ Prepare and review budgets in alignment with the work plan and ensure compliance with donor and organizational guidelines.
∎ Administrative Roles and Responsibilities:
∎ Abide by the staff’s management policy and accounts management policy of the organization.
∎ Submission of weekly/monthly activity plans and reports.
∎ Maintain and fulfill movement registers for field visits properly.
∎ Fulfill and maintain leave forms properly.
∎ Maintain tour forms properly and submit them after tours with vouchers.
∎ Preserve organizational files and resources.
∎ Prepare for conducting additional responsibilities as required by the organization.
∎ Avoid conspiracy, indecent words, and negative views towards higher authority and show faith in the organization.

Uttaran facilitates in getting access to and control over resources by the poor and disadvantaged to improve agricultural productivity and economic empowerment.
∎ Uttaran with technical support from HELVETAS Swiss Inter cooperation Bangladesh will collaborate to implement the “Actions to Climate Change Ensuring Sustainable Solutions (ACCESS) Project” in the southwestern coastal region of Bangladesh. This partnership aims to enhance capacities in adaptation, disaster risk management, climate-induced migration, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), livelihood, soil, and food security through mutual capacity-strengthening programs and knowledge-sharing activities. Together, they will explore, pilot, and disseminate innovative technologies and methodologies while engaging in advocacy efforts to promote their adoption.
∎ Uttaran invites applications for the position titled- Project Operation Manager for the Actions to Climate Change Ensuring Sustainable Solutions (ACCESS) project. The Project Operation Manager oversees the effective implementation of project activities, ensuring high-quality delivery, efficient resource management, and strategic stakeholder engagement. The role involves leading field teams, coordinating with partners, and ensuring the achievement of project goals and objectives.
