Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil and Environmental Engineering
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordination with Local Stockholders (20%)
∎ Conduct an inception meeting with PIO, UNO, Union Parishad, and the local community.
∎ Conduct Upazila/ district level inception and coordination meeting.
∎ Attend different meetings and training of consortia and IRB.
∎ Coordinate & network with local stakeholders and beneficiaries.
∎ Participate in different coordination meetings in Upazila/district/ consortia Level.
∎ Involve UDMC/PIC/other project implementation agencies of this area.
∎ Supervise to conduct FGD with the local community to get the primary beneficiary list.
∎ Supervise to conduct meeting with PIO and endorse the selected scheme of CFW.
∎ Assist the Project Officer-Technical to meet DPHE for WASH activities.
∎ Planning of Project Activities (20%)
∎ Prepare a plan for shelter construction.
∎ Prepare a project activity plan to complete the project in time.
∎ Organize inception meetings with different stakeholders.
∎ Prepare a plan for conducting FGD with the local community to get the primary beneficiary list.
∎ Organize and supervise field movement of staffs to achieve project goal in time.
∎ Ensure effective complaint, response, and feedback mechanism for ensuring transparency and accountability.
∎ Project Implementation (40%)
∎ Monitor construction activities as per approved BoQ and design.
∎ Supervise to select sites for shelter.
∎ Ensure the quality of project activities following approved monitoring checklist.
∎ Estimate and budget for required construction materials in the field.
∎ Supervise the identification of beneficiaries as per fixed selection criteria and methodology are given by IRB.
∎ Supervise to conduct technical and environmental survey (pre-survey, post-survey, etc.) as per project requirement.
∎ Supervise to prepare the beneficiary list and muster roll as per the direction of IRB.
∎ Ensure livelihood activities (distribution of cows) for orphan families.
∎ Take initiatives to validate beneficiary lists from local authorities as per the direction of IRB.
∎ Assist PM to conduct donor visit.
∎ Report back any problems & constraints encountered during the course of the activities and suggest operational solutions.
∎ Support the procurement process of materials through requisition, quotation collection, etc.
∎ Monitor the progress of work, ensure the quality of project activities & inform Programme Manager.
∎ Conduct training sessions according to the project requirement.
∎ Establish a CRM process for getting the suggestion, complaint, etc.
∎ Ensuring comprehensive and effective monitoring & reporting (20%)
∎ Prepare and submit planning of the weekly activities to the line manager.
∎ Support Project Manager to prepare donor reports.
∎ Prepare monthly progress report for PM.
∎ Supervise and monitor each stage of the activities, ensure the standard & instructions given by the line manager as well as be Islamic Relief Bangladesh.
∎ Submit daily, weekly and monthly activity and progress report to line manager.
∎ Involve UDMC & other project implementation teams for the implementation of the project.
∎ Ensure visibility of the project.
∎ Propose some methodologies, according to the proposal, and provide it with the experience and lessons learned from other organizations.
∎ Ensure visibility of the project.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief Bangladesh as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each and every staff member to understand and obey IRB Child Protection Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in working with: 1)Transitional Shelter Construction 2)Early recovery and WASH interventions 3) Livelihood activities/Interventions.
∎ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/ Excel/PowerPoint/Adobe Photoshop/ Basic Internet/ etc.
