Job Context:
∎ Job Location: Khulna, Paikgacha with the regular field visit to the project areas
∎ No. of Position: Two (Full Time)
∎ Nature of job: Contractual, 34 months/ up to project duration - March 2026
∎ Reporting to: Project Manger

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Major Job Responsibilities: Purpose of Position Provide technical leadership and guide the successful implementation of livelihoods and resilience (Food Security/Economic Development/Environmental protection) interventions in the project being implemented in South West part of Bangladesh. The Livelihood Officer will ensure the effective and efficient community mobilization, implementation, monitoring and reporting of interventions directly related to adoption of alternative livelihoods and increase of productive assets through Crop & livestock value chains, enterprise development and marketing, increased savings and access to financial services by targeted households in assigned operation areas.
∎ Specific Job Responsibilities (Specific duties include but are not limited to):
∎ ? Effective Project Design, Planning and Implementation
∎ - Facilitate adoption of best practice/approaches/models in the course of the implementation of the WASH, Environment and biodiversity.
∎ - Ensure that business processes, standards and guidelines related to Environment friendly WASH Entrepreneurship initiatives are effectively applied in project implementation and monitoring
∎ - Participate in the preparation of overall work plan and budget for WASH, Climate Change and biodiversity & Environment friendly WASH Entrepreneurship activities and technical support for this activity
∎ - Collaborate with relevant government sectors and partners at the city and community levels to ensure integration and high-level implementation of all Climate friendly WASHactivities.
∎ - Make technical input into the planning and design of project specific operational researches, including baseline and end line evaluation related to Livelihood & ED outcomes.
∎ - Work closely with the project team in identification of existing gaps in Livelihood & ED and Environment sectors of the project
∎ - Facilitate adoption of best practice/approaches/models in the course of the implementation of the project
∎ - Work together with other staff to ensure that key trainings meet the standards required to facilitate, provide knowledge and reinforcement of desired behaviour and practices.
∎ - Provide technical support and timely feedback to the Project team on Livelihood and ED interventions outlined in the project proposal.
∎ - Build capacity of field staff, project ToTs and partners (CBOs and Farmer groups) on Crop & Livestock production, Climate Smart Agriculture
∎ - Identify other opportunities in an ongoing manner that will add value to the overarching goal of the program.
∎ - Implement the Shyasthya Nirapotta Scheme as a component of livelihood.
∎ - Track and prepare monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual progress reports of activities related to Livelihood & ED key indicators; including documentation of key lessons learnt and successes stories Contribute to the development and dissemination of publications for learning.
∎ - Ensure cross cutting themes such as gender, disability, environmental protection are integrated into the progam interventions Ensure integration of L&R interventions with other Child protection interventions as appropriate
∎ - Mobilize and sensitize community for empowerment & sustainability Build capacity of communities and partners on integration for synergy & Community based monitoring for sustainability.
∎ - Establish specific capacity building for effective delivery & sustainability of project interventions
∎ - Take a lead in building program staff and community capacities in food security & economic empowerment sector interventions through trainings and other information sharing avenues (field days, demonstrations) to handle project activities effectively Together with partners, conduct regular extension service provision for participating groups and households
∎ - Trained project beneficiaries with adequate capacity to engage in sustainable livelihood & ED initiatives
∎ - Gather and provide quality feedback and data to be used to develop technical papers and recommendations on key issues for external engagement with decision makers in respective districts
∎ - Establish and sustain working relationships with Government Departments and Agencies relevant to the project focus area at the local level

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 22 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ ? Minimum 3 years' experience preferably with NGO's. Working experience on WASH, Environment and other components will be given preference.
∎ ? Proven experience with comprehensive knowledge on community development is required
∎ ? Experience in working with vulnerable community, financial institutes, income generation activities, climate vulnerable, emergency responses will be given preference
∎ ? Experiences to work with local government, social welfare department, women & child affairs department is required
∎ ? Should work as team members and should have experiences to work closely with other departments of the organization.
∎ ? Have to be gender sensitive with sound knowledge and experience on gender

Salary:
∎ Tk. 35000 - 38000 (Monthly)
∎ Monthly salary BDT 35000-38000 (gross) with two festival bonus and annual salary increment as per policy.
