Job Context:
∎ Social Assistance and Rehabilitation for the Physically Vulnerable (SARPV) is a non-government, non-political, Bangladeshi organization under its Health & Nutrition program providing lifesaving health& nutrition support to the Rohingya people of Cox`s Bazar. As part of its Health & Nutrition interventions with the support of UNHCR and WFP, SARPV is implementing "Integrated nutrition interventions to address malnutrition among Rohingya refugees."
∎ Employment Status: Contractual, until 31st July, 2023 (Renewable)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Objective 1: Implement project activities
∎ Ensure the implementation of activities defined by the Programme Manager (PM in coordination with the Logistics Department);
∎ Plan activities according to the expected progress of the project;
∎ The direct implementation of community kitchen program, in accordance with donor agreements.
∎ Provide appropriate weekly and monthly food plans to the line manager.
∎ Ensure the quantity and quality of supplied commodities and items.
∎ Ensure the supply of meals according to the menu provided by the donor.
∎ Ensure the safety, security and hygiene of Community kitchen operations.
∎ Ensure the vehicle support to carry the food and non-food items with collaboration of the Logistic team
∎ Carry out project monitoring and update project needs.
∎ Follow the project's progress and write relevant reports, and also share the weekly reports with the line manager.
∎ Regular field visit and cross check the stock and beneficiaries' attendance register for each Community Kitchen
∎ Write up the case study of the implemented project,
∎ Identify and inform the program managers of any problems or constraints,
∎ Propose solutions or improvements to ensure the smooth running of the project.
∎ Objective 2: Participate in the coordination of the project
∎ Participate in meetings organized by donor agency or site management in order to share the process;
∎ Participate in monthly coordination meetings at camp level
∎ Coordinate activities and sensitize the team in the field.
∎ Face the donor visit at the field level.
∎ Objective 3: Manage the project's team
∎ Train and sensitize the daily workers, volunteers and the team members
∎ Provide job training to the staffs if needed
∎ Ensure PPE for the staffs and volunteers at the Community Kitchen
∎ Organize the team work to optimize the capacity of each team member
∎ Ensure the staffs attendance and submit to the line manager timely.
∎ Assist the staffs to preparing the time sheet appropriately.
∎ Keep the records of Staffs leave and share it to the line manager in monthly basis.
∎ Arrange regular meeting with the staffs and volunteers and keep the minutes of the decisions.
∎ Objective 4: Proactively support SARPVs commitments to gender equality, child protection and disability sensitivity
∎ Read and ensure a full understanding of SARPVs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies, asking questions and/or for support when necessary;
∎ Implement all work-related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries;
∎ Ensure the incorporation of gender equity principles in all policies and activities;
∎ Encourage the participation of all genders in meeting and on committees;
∎ Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 1 year experience in relevant field. Experience in an emergency context will get preference.
∎ Knowledge of verbal and written English and Bangla; Rohingya or local language accent
∎ Good communication and presentation skills
∎ Team-building, capacity building and training skills
∎ Language: Must be proficient in English and Bangla in both writing and speaking
∎ Excellent computer skills (Microsoft office: Word, Excel and Power point)
∎ Flexibility and mobility are required at any time of the program implementation.
∎ Competency: In Microsoft excel, word, Power Point and internet browsing for the basic communication.
Salary: Tk. 50000 (Monthly)
