Job Context:
∎ Social Assistance and Rehabilitation for the Physically Vulnerable (SARPV) is a non- government, non-profit, Bangladeshi organization providing lifesaving nutrition support to the FDMN Rohingya people of Cox`s Bazar under its integrated nutrition programme. As part of Nutrition interventions in support with WFP & UNICEF, SARPV is working for the treatment and prevention of malnutrition among under 5 children, adolescent, pregnant & lactating women in Rohingya community.
∎ Employment Status: Contractual till 31st October 2023 (Renewable based on fund availability).
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Warehouse activities:
∎ Receive food and non-food items, whenever supplied at the center.
∎ Register all the items in the stock register according to the invoice and after physical checking.
∎ Dispatch of food and/or non-food items according to the requisition.
∎ Enter the dispatched food and/or non-food items with quantity in the stock register and bin card.
∎ Update stack cards (one for each stack of food items) regularly.
∎ Maintain proper stacking technique to arrange the food items, and to keep the harmful chemicals away from the food items.
∎ Hygiene maintenance:
∎ Maintain hygiene and cleanliness inside the warehouse.
∎ Ensure hygiene and cleanliness around the warehouse; also the less used materials.
∎ Ensure hygiene materials are in place to be used where these are needed.
∎ Ensure a smooth supply of cleaning materials to be used in maintaining center cleanliness.
∎ Responsible for protecting the food and/or non-food items in the warehouse from rodents and insects.
∎ Calculation:
∎ Calculation of warehouse capacity.
∎ Daily calculation of closing stock balances after distribution.
∎ Weekly physical Inventory calculation.
∎ Damage/Loss:
∎ Enter all the relevant information about any damage/loss of food and/or non-food items in the stock book.
∎ Inform the line manager immediately about the loss/damage, whenever it is reported.
∎ Take necessary steps to process damaged/lost goods following the suggestion of the line manager.
∎ Reporting:
∎ Prepare a monthly stock report (food & non-food items).
∎ Prepare monthly physical inventory (food items, non-food items, assets).
∎ Submit daily food dispatch reports to the line manager.
∎ Food distribution:
∎ Provide necessary support during a food distribution from the facility level
∎ Supervise and guide the Food Distribution Volunteers during the food distribution process and any other relevant assignment that is given by the Line Manage
Additional Requirements:
∎ 1 years of work experience in relevant field
∎ Good computer and report writing skills are required
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is required
Salary: Tk. 35000 (Monthly)
