Job Context:
∎ Social Assistance and Rehabilitation for the Physically Vulnerable (SARPV) is a non- government, non-political, Bangladeshi organization providing humanitarian support to the Rohingya people at Bhasan Char. As part of its Health & Nutrition interventions in support with WFP & UNHCR, SARPV is implementing "Integrated nutrition intervention to address malnutrition among Rohingya Refugee" project from 1st September 2022.
∎ Overall Objective: This position is responsible for the all kind of food and medicine items` maintenance, distribution and reporting in the distribution point and warehouse of the centre.
∎ Job Location: Bhasan Char, Noakhali
∎ Employment Status: Contractual, until 31st December 2023 (Renewable)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ A) Distribution of food items - Warm welcoming to the caregivers and beneficiaries.
∎ Distribution of food commodities according to the protocol.
∎ To explain the prevention and follow up procedures in the nutrition center, especially regular presence and follow up of the treatment.
∎ Record the number of beneficiaries distributed.
∎ To inform the frequency of food intake in a day.
∎ To inform the food entitlement to the beneficiaries.
∎ To inform the next visit date and the importance of attending on due date.
∎ B) Warehouse activities - To receive food and non-food items, whenever supplied at the center.
∎ Register all the items in the stock register according to the invoice and after physical checking.
∎ Dispatch of food and/or non-food items according to the requisition.
∎ To enter the dispatch food and/or non-food items with quantity in the stock register and bin card.
∎ To update stack card (one for each stack of food items) regularly.
∎ To maintain proper stacking technique to arrange the food items ; and to keep the harmful chemicals away from the food and medicine items.
∎ Maintain the register of all Food & Medicine items and Non-food items.
∎ C) Hygiene maintenance - To maintain hygiene and cleanliness inside the warehouse.
∎ To ensure hygiene and cleanliness around the warehouse; also the less used materials.
∎ To hygiene materials are in place to be used where these are needed.
∎ To ensure smooth supply of cleaning materials to be used in maintaining center cleanliness.
∎ Responsible for protecting the food and/or non-food items in the warehouse from the rodents and insects.
∎ D) Calculation - Calculation of warehouse capacity.
∎ Daily calculation of closing stock balances after distribution.
∎ Monthly physical Inventory calculation.
∎ GRN for all items are received by center.
∎ E) Damage/Loss - To enter all the relevant information about any damage/loss of food and/or non-food items in the stock book.
∎ To inform the line manager immediately about the loss/damage, whenever it is reported.
∎ To take necessary steps to process damage/loss goods following the suggestion of the line manager.
∎ F) Reporting and statistic of the center - To prepare an age group and sex wise daily distribution report and submit to the Site Supervisor.
∎ To prepare a monthly distribution report displaying the total distribution in a month and cross check with the stock report.
∎ To prepare all food and medicine items' stock report in the reporting month and submit to the Site Supervisor.
∎ G) Abiding by organizational, donor policies, and humanitarian principles - The position is expected to uphold the values of SARPV
∎ He/she must learn about the donor policies and abide by it.
∎ Humanitarian Principles must be upheld in daily implementation.
∎ Implement all work-related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of the SARPV's staff and beneficiaries
∎ Perform any job related task assigned by Line manager.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year's professional experience in CMAM preferred.
∎ Ability to work flexibly including weekends and willingness to travel and work in remote island area and live in basic conditions.
∎ Good communication and presentation skills
∎ Language: Must be proficient in English and Bangla in both writing and speaking
∎ Competency: Device operating, internet browsing for the basic communication.

Salary: Tk. 34000 (Monthly)

∎ Two days weekly holiday ( Friday & Saturday)
∎ Mobile bill, internet bill, Travel bill as per Organization policy.
∎ Hardship allowance as per policy.
