Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters degree in any discipline
∎ Masters in a natural resource governance or management related discipline, which may include social sciences, environmental and life sciences, engineering and business studies will be prefer;

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Engage key stakeholders of water governance (government, private sector, civil society, community and women leaders) from grassroots to national level;
∎ Stakeholder mapping, intelligence and strategic influencing;
∎ Arranging workshops, campaigns, social media activities for stakeholder engagement;
∎ Keeping track of stakeholder feedback and communicating to managers;
∎ Work closely with stakeholders to organize campaigns on issues related with inclusion of rights of the marginalized in water governance with focus on access and control over common pool water resources and safety from river related disasters;
∎ Strategic planning and consultations for campaigns;
∎ Research, reporting and documentation of water governance outcomes;
∎ Organization of data and information related with water governance;
∎ Human interest stories collection and dissemination;

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Good understanding of Bangladesh context of natural resource governance and situation of marginalized communities in the grass-roots;
∎ Good understanding of stakeholder relationships in development sector;
∎ Relevant working experience in water governance in specific or natural resource governance in general;
∎ Experience of facilitating trainings, workshops and other forms of capacity building activities
∎ Strong commitment to the rights of the most marginal communities
∎ Strong commitment to the values of accountability, inclusiveness and empowerment
∎ Strong commitment towards gender inclusion and child rights in specific
∎ Leadership qualities;
∎ Excellent writing capacity in English and Bangla;
∎ Skills in MS Office
∎ Excellent presentation skills;
∎ Strong interpersonal skills;

Salary:
∎ Tk. 40000 - 46000 (Monthly)
∎ Other admissible benefits as per project policy

Presently Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK) has been working in Gaibandha, Rangpur, Nilphamari, Kurigram, Dinajpur, Bogra, Joypurhat, Kushtia, Panchagarh and Lalmonirhat districts. The organization has gained well reputation and achieved notable changes in development, particularly in the area of Livelihood Improvement, Education for Children, Gender Equality, Women Empowerment, Human Rights and Disaster Risk Reduction & Climate change through various development projects. Over the period of time, altogether approximately 45,000 families came out from extreme poverty situation through financial and technical support of GUK. Besides, approximately 120,000 families are directly involved at present in different interventions of the organization.
