Job Context:
∎ Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB), a non-govt. non-political and non-profit voluntary consumer organization, was founded in 1978. Primarily started as a social group to protect consumers from commodity adulteration and artificial price-hike it has gradually widened its scope to establish and safeguard consumers` rights and interests in social, economic, health and environmental issues.
∎ CAB has been working for a rational electricity tariff mechanism to ensure affordable price for the consumers and make a level-playing field for the renewable energy businesses in the country.
∎ CAB invites applications from the qualified candidates for the mentioned position:
∎ Job Duration: Up to December 2022 with possibility of extension depending upon the availability of fund.
∎ Joining Date: Competent candidates who can join the position on 01 December 2022 are encourage to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist the project team in the planning, designing and budgeting of project activities, being directly responsible for the implementation and management of the project.
∎ Collection and analysis of relevant global and national relevant policy papers, working papers, reports and other publications on energy issues.
∎ Assist the team in organizing workshops, meetings, training sessions, awareness raising and competition at universities and colleges at national, divisional and district levels as required.
∎ Ensure media report on energy transition issues.
∎ Prepare regular reports, meeting minutes and other documents and submit to the line manager.
∎ Communicate with team members and verify that all projects and tasks are on schedule.
∎ Any other relevant tasks assigned by the authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years of work experience in energy sector.
∎ Knowledge of international approaches to long-term green and sustainable energy transition in terms of energy and environmental issues, energy efficiency, energy challenges, and their corresponding implications to the energy sector, including power and energy markets.
∎ Good command of English language (spoken and written).
∎ Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
∎ Capable to prepare high quality reports in English.
∎ Communication skills, excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
∎ Proficiency in MS Office and Internet.
