Job Context:
∎ Position Purpose This position has overall responsibility for implementing all project activities of a project titled “ANTICIPATION: Asia Anticipatory Action for Disaster Mitigation” in the project impact area under CRBC cluster. Through this project WVB supports the community to establish anticipatory action protocols for selected, disaster-exposed area programs in order to enhance the level of readiness and pre-disaster action capacity at community level.
∎ The purpose of the position is to Implement the project activities in the specific working area in accordance with project design for achieving the goal, outcomes and outputs. This position will assist in project planning, budget preparing, training & workshops facilitation; prepare all reports and document properly in time and all other required activities to ensure smooth operations of the project. He/ She will be project staff and work under supervision of Project Manager/Project Coordinator assigned from WVB.
∎ This project is up to 30 November 2023.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Act to achieve the goal and outcomes of the project mobilizing, staff and local stakeholders and other project resources at Upazila level.
∎ Implement the Project in accordance with the standards of programming and the requirements of WV and the donor including financial and M & E functions;
∎ Manages the relationship with local partners and Government counterpart ensuring that project objectives under which they are responsible are achieved, its field implementation are managed and coordinated;
∎ Strengthen relationship with partners
∎ Support for Planning, motoring & budgeting as per project design
∎ Contribute to reporting to WVB management and donor/s as per requirements
∎ Capacity building initiative for local level facilitators as well as partner.
∎ Ensure AA action in the field when it triggers
∎ Provisioned each and every resource as per the project guideline and contribute to use in time of implementation
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Expertise in environmental analysis, disaster management, disaster risk reduction approaches
∎ Understanding of the vision and mission of World Vision
∎ Understand the Humanitarian industry
∎ Holistic Understanding of poverty and development
∎ Understanding of the impact of man-environment interactions, biodiversity, sustainable resource management
∎ Climate change adaptation
∎ Community-based disaster management approaches
∎ Understanding of knowledge management
∎ Training and facilitation skills
∎ Strong written and oral communication skills
∎ Critical thinking, creative and innovative thinking skills
∎ Competent in the use of Microsoft Office computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
∎ At least 3 years’ experience in monitoring and or evaluating environment related programs/sector coordination in a complex, international organization preferably in NGO context.
∎ Experience in Project proposal development
∎ Proven management ability
∎ Proven experience as a team player
∎ Proven ability to do networking and leading information seminars/workshops
Salary: Tk. 50000 - 55000 (Monthly)
