∎ In Cox`s Bazar we are implementing a number of projects in self-reliance, livelihoods, food assistance, social enterprise, environment protection and DRR with both the host community and the Rohingya population. In Cox`s Bazar, we are looking for an experienced and ambitious professional for the position of Project Manager (PM) to implement WFP funded Farmers Market and Self Reliance projects with the Rohingya population and the host community farmers in camps and host communities of Ukhiya and Teknaf.
∎ Through the Farmers Market component, we intend to provide safe, nutritious and fresh food to the Rohingyas by engaging local farming communities resulting in enhanced social cohesion. For this purpose, market hubs will be established in different camps to create the space for host community farmers, small traders and vegetable aggregators to sell their products to the Rohingya community. The main objective of the Self Reliance project is to strengthen the resilience of Rohingya men, women, at-risk youth, elderly and persons with disability through upscaling of waste materials along with re-skilling of Rohingya beneficiaries. As a part of this wider objective, we would be developing capacity of both Rohingya men and women to collect waste materials from WFP distribution centres and upcycle them to reusable products.
∎ The PM has the overall responsibility for programmatic and administrative management of both these innovative projects in order to achieve the overall program goal. S/he is an individual, committed to maintaining transparency and accountability in managing relations with the staff members, supervisors and two-way communication, based on mutual trust and respect. S/he ensures output-based monitoring and lessons learnt that lead to improvement and development of the program at all levels.
∎ Working Conditions:
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday, 40 hours per week. This position may be required to work some overtime hours.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
∎ Yearly renewable contract based on fund availability and performance.
∎ Key contacts:
∎ Project Manager maintains a functional / productive relationship with HR, Finance and Communication teams and other projects of organization, donors, CiCs, GoB-NGOs stakeholders, participants, counterparts and liaison with other official as appropriate.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibility #: 1 Project Implementation (Farmers Market)
∎ The main objective of Farmers Market intervention is to
∎ Organise host community farmers to sell their agricultural products in the Rohingya camps
∎ Set up 4 market hubs in four camps
∎ Ensure that the Rohingya beneficiaries access the markets for purchasing fresh food items
∎ Ensure proper use or Customer Relationship Management software in keeping project data
∎ Responsibility #: 2 Project Implementation (Self Reliance)
∎ Supervise project team in renovating waste management centre with support from technical lead
∎ Ensure procurement of machines and other equipments following organisation's procurement policy and maintaining strict deadlines
∎ Supervise project teams in arranging training sessions for the Rohingya beneficiaries in waste collection and tailoring
∎ Supervise project teams in ensuring that all data on waste collection and processing are kept up to date
∎ Supervise project team to seek marketing opportunity for the products made from the processed waste materials
∎ Responsibility # : 3 Concepts & Strategies development

∎ Fully understand the program, its strategies and limitation, and are able to translate them clearly
∎ Formulate program implementation strategies, expectations and standards
∎ Set the priorities and guidance for the project team
∎ Chalk-out programmes activities and their budgetary requirements
∎ Facilitate participatory project implementation process and orient staff members accordingly
∎ Generate ideas/ concepts and share it for development of future project
∎ Responsibility # : 4 Supervision and Management
∎ Provide day-to-day management support, and handle the challenges
∎ Lead the project to get job done maintaining professional and superior quality
∎ Formulate activity plan and budget
∎ Monitor & evaluate the progress and take corrective measures
∎ Ensure effective & efficient use of resources
∎ Ensure timely disbursement of program logistics/ funds to field staff
∎ Keep team members updated and adapt with new changes
∎ Staff supervision and development, identify appropriate staff development activities and initiate/arrange implementation of those.
∎ Create congenial/friendly working environment for all staff members and learning culture.
∎ Facilitate workshops, training and meetings with various stakeholders.
∎ Responsibility # : 5 Liaison & Partnership

∎ Arrange informal and formal liaison and coordination with relevant authorities in the camps, stakeholders and project participants.
∎ Liaise & maintain productive relationships with local authorities, donors and counterpart, especially with the CICs and ACiCs in different camps, RRRC, site-management
∎ Keep the staff members updated on new priorities and the changes
∎ Support official visiting programs, scoping & program formulation mission
∎ Facilitate meeting, dialogue, and other interactive activities
∎ Keep social communication and play figurehead roles
∎ Represent organization and project in different forums
∎ Responsibility # : 6 Monitoring, Documentation and Reporting
∎ Assist in the development of M&E framework and providing orientation to staff on M&E framework.
∎ Regular monitoring of project progress and performance through frequent field visits, staff meeting and feedback
∎ Coaching and providing advice to field staff in use of M&E data in their day-to-day management decisions in the field.
∎ Prepare and submit monthly/ quarterly reports as per donor requirements.
∎ Ensure that copies of important communications, documents and reports are filed and stored and circulated appropriately.
∎ Ensure proper and quality documentation of organizational achievements, lessons learnt and important events
∎ Responsibility # : 7 Capacity Building
∎ Assess training needs for staff and contribute in training module designing
∎ Provide technical support to staff members through coaching, mentoring, feedback etc)
∎ Ensure that the staff are able to apply the project approaches and strategies in their activities.
∎ Ensure enabling work environment
∎ Enhance team bondage and team spirit
∎ Delegate authority and responsibility

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 years professional experience of working in food security/ DRR/ food assistance/ humanitarian projects
∎ Experience in project coordination and management at the field level is essential
∎ Experience in working in the areas of cash transfers (CFW), food distribution, market systems, women enterprise development in the humanitarian context
∎ Sound knowledge and strong skills in Performance Management and staff development.
∎ Strong skills in Networking and liaison with local counterparts
∎ Strong reporting skills and knowledge of relevant computer packages
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla
∎ Ability to capitalize on past experience, existing networks and information existing (both internal and external to ICCO) in order to become self-sufficient quickly
∎ Ability to cope up and mix with multicultural people and multi-tasks
