Additional Requirements:

  • Experience and skilled in the field of Child Protection, Child rights & GBV;
  • Demonstrated hands-on skills on MS Office packages including Microsoft Office, Excel, Power point, internet, e-mail, KOBO Toolkit etc.;
  • Excellent project management, budgeting and organizational management skills;
  • Ability to work in challenging environments and handle difficult situations;
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills;
  • Capacity for strategic thinking and problem-solving;
  • Excellent verbal and written fluency in both Bangla and English;
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.


Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK) is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of ‘Project Manager’ for ‘Bangladesh-America Maitree Project’ which is finance by USAID and supported by BRAC. The project duration is November 12, 2024 to November 11, 2027. The theme of the project is to prevention of child marriage and gender based violence. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leading and overseeing the implementation of the project;

  • Ensuring that activities, services, and interventions reach the intended communities;

  • Effectively communicating with Donor, government authorities, community leaders and other stakeholders related to the project and provide required information on time;

  • Supervising and mentoring staffs and volunteers involved in the project;

  • Coordinating advocacy campaigns;

  • Ensuring that project activities are implemented according to established timelines, budgets, and standards;

  • Regular financial monitoring of the project to ensure effective utilization of the budget;

  • Ensure the work plan is closely followed up for timely implementation of the project activities;

  • Ensuring the safety and protection of both stakeholders and staff members involved in the project;

  • Supporting the MEAL team to have a robust monitoring and evaluation operational plan and ensuring of the project activates, it’s implementation of monitoring activities;

  • Ensure that the organization’s financial, human resources, safeguarding, PSEA and other policies and procedures are fully implemented in relation to all project staff;

  • Regularly preparing and submitting progress reports to donors, partners, and stakeholders;

  • Highlighting the achievements, challenges, and financial status of the project.
