Job Context:
∎ This position has overall responsibility for the management of a ADH funded DRR project, targeting 7 unions of Tahirpur Upazilla under Sunamganj District, Sylhet Division.
∎ The Project Manager is accountable for coordination and collaboration with local partners and government departments at sub-national and national level and present the project to government and relevant parties being the team leader for the project, and report going forward through the successful delivery of plan to achieve the goal and outcomes of the project. This position will ensure development/ revising of detailed implementation plan, budget preparation/ revision, government liaison, coordination with other AP projects, and all relevant key stakeholders such as local government, DCs, UNOs and DRR implementing agencies facilitating overall guidance and oversight.
∎ The Project Manager, will be responsible for ensuring that the activity follows all MEAL/ PQA, SCM, and financial guidelines, donor compliance and document/ prepare/ submit all project reports to WVB NO/ SO/ or donor.
Job Responsibilities:

∎ Project management & ensure accountability
∎ Policy advice and strategic technical guidance and leadership
∎ Build strategic partnership and alliances
∎ Document project reports
∎ Ensure MEAL guidelines are adhered to
∎ Ensuring effective donor and grants compliances.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Post graduate in Disaster Management, Environment Studies, Social Science, Development studies or equivalent degree(s).
∎ Excellent communication skills (written and spoken in English and
∎ Bangla)
∎ Ability to draft and edit written quality reports in both English and Bangla
∎ Ability to develop detailed and formulate work plans, prioritize, and work under
∎ pressure.
∎ Ability to analyze evaluate and interpret factual data and prepare
∎ accurate and complete reports and other related documents
∎ Solid knowledge and experience in project management and financial
∎ resource management
∎ Good knowledge of GoB DRR institutional mandates, policies, and
∎ guidelines pertaining formulation of disaster management committees
∎ Experience working and maintaining relations with senior level GoB
∎ MoDMR officials
∎ Experience managing projects in complex working environments
∎ Strong understanding and believe in GEDSI concept, and knowledge execution into project programming
∎ Minimum 7 years of progressive responsibility managing teams over
∎ different operational geographic areas.
∎ At least 2 years managing ADH/ Germany government funded grants or multilateral donor funded projects.
∎ At least 3 years of progressively managing DRR activities in
∎ Bangladesh
∎ Ability to use computers and MS Office packages.
Salary: Tk. 80000 - 85000 (Monthly)
