Responsibilities & Context:
∎ This position is responsible for designing effective budget and ensuring all operations are within budget, review budget and analyse financial information as well as the overall supply chain management include organizing and monitoring storage and distribution of goods of BRAC Shelter Project under HCMP including supportive supervision in his/her assigned working areas expending times/days to 65% in fields and 40% in official works. He will be reportable to the Sector Lead, Shelter for execution of duties.
∎ Strategic Planning and Overall Management:
∎ Prepare Strategic plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and its services
∎ Review the Shelter project budget for compliance with legal regulations including effective budgeting policies and procedures.
∎ Oversee implementation and monitoring of sectoral activities:
∎ Analyse financial information (e.g. expenditures and cash management) to ensure all operations are within budget.
∎ Quality and Accountability:
∎ Ensure and Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency for Shelter materials.
∎ Stakeholders’ coordination, networking, advocacy:
∎ Supervise, coach and train warehouse team and finance team and resolve any arising problems or complaints
∎ Work closely to HCMP procurement department/unit and finance department/unit as well as communicate and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, manufacturers to ensure the qualitative materials for Shelter project.
∎ Fund Raising, Proposal Development and Reporting:
∎ Prepare variances report based on actual and budgeted amount monthly quarterly, half-yearly and annually also as per need of the project and report to line manager.
∎ Assist to collect different document/journals related to Shelter and NFI for team and synthesize as well as develop some relevant Visual Aid/materials.
∎ Safety and Safeguarding:
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
