Job Context:
∎ The Project Engineer for Ensuring Sustainable Access to WASH for the Most Vulnerable Rural Communities in Cox Bazar project will supervise construction of the proposed WASH options, supported by 2 Engineering Facilitators (1 for Fotekharkul-Joarianala and 1 for Garjania-Kacchapia) with the hardware construction components in the field. ∎ This MOFA funded projects duration is 3 years.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Feasibility study for requirement of WASH infrastructures at selected slums.
∎ Design of WASH infrastructures as required and as per Project Plan.
∎ Estimating & preparation of specification and BOQs.
∎ Preparation of Work Program Schedules.
∎ Implementation of engineering activities.
∎ Plan and prepare budget and monitor construction works as per design.
∎ Processing construction bill payment and documentation.
∎ Establish the networking and linkage with different stakeholders.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Have sufficient knowledge in design of Engineering Infrastructure like multistoried building, community toilet, bathing cubicles, septic tank, slab latrine, surface drain, closed drains, small scale road structure, and hydraulic structures.
∎ Have knowledge of preparing Technical Specification and Tender Documents.
∎ Knowledge in Computer Aided Design Software like AutoCad- 2D & 3D, Autodesk Revit, ETABS, STAAD-Pro and working proficiency with the same.
∎ Knowledge in preparation of estimate and BOQs
∎ Networking capacity with GOB and other NGOs
∎ Ability to drive motorbike with valid driving license
∎ Ability to work in different target groups
∎ Oral and written communication skills in English and Bengali
∎ Ability to work in a team
∎ Work under pressure and can take additional responsibilities
∎ Basic computer knowledge of using MS Word and MS Excel
∎ Knowledge on supervision and quality control
∎ Minimum working experience in similar work but excellent academic background
∎ Work experience in NGOs
∎ Absolute field based position. Position will work directly with contractors and different groups of community. Huge work load may requires work beyond regular office time. Child friendly working environment exits in the project team
Salary: Tk. 50000 - 55000 (Monthly)
