Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Overall project management; project planning, leading the overall implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the NSSS project.
∎ Ensure all three outcomes – economic empowerment, social protection and DRR has been addressed by project activities and considering gender justice and social inclusion aspects across NSSS project cycle management.
∎ Budget management.
∎ Understand the mission, principles, vision, strategies, polices of Uttaran and project implement accordingly.
∎ Coordinate and manage project staff, ensuring capacity building, mentoring, and performance monitoring.
∎ Coordinate and supervise field-level implementation, ensuring timely and quality delivery of all project activities.
∎ Monitor, identify challenges and risk facing the implementation of the project and propose mitigation strategies.
∎ Maintaining close collaboration with Uttaran and Helvetas.
∎ Strengthing and maintaining functional relation with relevant Camp authorities, Government line department, private sector, community stakeholders and other relevant actors to build partnerships and foster ownership.
∎ Ensure regular documentation of best practices, lessons learned, success stories and captured good quality pictures.
∎ Organize monthly coordination meeting with the project team members and keep records on meeting decisions.
∎ Ensure gender-sensitive and socially inclusive approaches throughout project activities.
∎ Directly lead the DRR activities – support to develop community based DRR plans, closely work with local disaster management committee and other relevant stakeholders.
∎ Organize awareness and capacity-building sessions on disaster preparedness, climate resilience, and risk mitigation.
∎ Promote integration of DRR strategies into livelihoods and enterprise development.
∎ Develop and contribute for different training materials, hand out, modules, guideline etc. according to requirement.
∎ Prepare and submit high quality monthly, quarterly and annual report and submit to Uttaran and Helvetas.

∎ Project Background:
∎ Uttaran with the assistance of Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation is implementing Nari Shakti Samaz Shakti (NSSS) project. The objective of the project is to establish a gender-transformative enabling environment that empowers women and marginalized groups to foster safer, inclusive, and resilient communities in the vulnerable contexts of Cox’s Bazar. The project focuses on protecting women and girls aged 10–35 in both host and refugee communities by enhancing resilience, reducing disaster vulnerabilities and creating alternative livelihood opportunities.
