Job Context:
∎ Partners in Health and Development (PHD) is a Bangladeshi development organization has been working in the public health sector for last 32 years and currently implementing different projects in 21 districts. PHD intends to hire a competent Project Coordinator (PC) for Save the Children managed and BMZ funded "BDG Strengthening resilience and social cohesion of Rohingya and host communities in Cox`s Bazar through integrated social services and improved livelihoods" in Ukhiya and Teknaf of Cox`s Bazar district. Expected date of joining the position on 1st November 2023.
∎ Job objective:
∎ To lead a team to achieve the overall goal of the project by effective and efficient implementation of the planned project activities. Incumbent will provide clear strategic and technical direction for the implementation of the BMZ funded interventions including MHPSS in Ukhiya & Teknaf sub districts of Cox`s Bazar and accountable to plan, implement and monitoring the project with close cooperation of the stakeholders (government, local government, and donor) and other high level government forum at Cox`s Bazar level to achieve desired results of the project.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key Area 1: Administration and management
∎ Project coordinator (PC) will be responsible in day-to-day implementation, management and monitoring the project in line with approved Costed Detail Implementation Plan (DIP)
∎ S/he will work closely and in consultation with BMZ Technical Specialist, Project Manager and PHD senior management and field-based staff in the implementation of the BMZ funded interventions. Responsibilities will also include to ensure BMZ-funded project are implemented in accordance with the agreed contracts and budgets, and safety and security of the staffs.
∎ Lead the project to ensure that the project deliverables of the project produced in time with quality within stipulated scope and resources
∎ Identify the capacity gaps and providing technical assistance and capacity building to the project staff to ensure the work plan is implemented within budget and in the prescribed time period.
∎ Participate in meetings and reviews and undertake monitoring missions to assess progress of implementation, field monitoring visits, Health Sector coordination meetings and other relevant partners' forums.
∎ Maintain close collaboration and liaison with GoB, Donor, other implementing partners and other relevant stakeholders
∎ Identify gaps and priority areas of work in implementation, proposing reasonable review and recommendations for adjustment of activities where necessary.
∎ Prepare monthly reports, quarterly reports and case studies and review other reports.
∎ Any other assignment given by the PHD Management
∎ Key Area 2: Coordination and Planning:
∎ Support BMZ Project Manager and Technical Specialist to establish effective and functional coordination and networking with the MOH&FW sub-district level, NGOs, and other stakeholders as appropriate.
∎ Plan in a coordinated way to monitor the quality of training/orientation/workshops and document and share findings and recommendations and ensure incorporation of field observations in training/mentoring/coaching
∎ Key Area 3: Reporting and Documentation:
∎ Develop training and field visit reports.
∎ To prepare for compiling/developing final/midterm project reports.
∎ Contribute to development of MEAL tools including service quality monitoring checklists, indicators, and methods as they relate to health interventional activities.
∎ Support MEAL focal in documenting lessons learned and local level disseminations
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Preferably 5-7 years working experience in delivering of Sexual Reproductive Maternal Neonatal Child & Adolescent Health (SRMNCAH) services in development/humanitarian settings and closely work with the MoH
∎ Considerable experience in planning, Strategic thinking, Analytical skills, and influencing and negotiation skills with different stakeholders.
∎ Technical support for Monitoring, Evaluation, and generation of narrative reports.
∎ Good interpersonal skills and working in diverse teams.
∎ Ability to train and mentor co-workers. Good speaking and writing skills in both Bangla and English.
∎ Ability to work in demanding situation
Salary: Tk. 100000 (Monthly)
